Every day I went down to the memorial , looking at all the names of my friends and comrades that I had failed . I knew going into these missions is dangerous and not everyone will make it . We where lucky as it was . But I still mourn them and blame myself . But I had learned to cope and deal with it as expected of a commander . But some days I wasn't a commander I was simply a friend mourning a friend and today was one of those days .
I was glad grunt had seen the madness the krogen had submitted too. I was afraid I would have to fight him . I already was forced to kill a friend . But either way it was one and another I was forced to make a hard descion one of my hardest I've ever had to showed up two weeks ago , I was surprised .He was angry at the war and had agreed to help end it . Eve had came with him and was staying with us . Once the saviour to her people and now a traitor that woman had guts .
I ran my finger tips over the names wondering when I would join them . I felt as if I had lived an eternity all the wars I had fought in , all the people I had outlived . The tiredness began sinking in. But it was a lot calmer than when the readers attacked . I still had nightmares from them . I felt an hand on my shoulder and I jumped it was kaiden .
" it's just me Shepard . You look tired go get some rest I'll watch the crew for you mother hen "
He mockingly salutes and I rolled my eyes
" you think of me as a mother alenko ? "
I smirked smiling broadly my eyes glistening .
" shit ... em no of course not commander " he stuttered going red in the face.
I felt another hand on my shoulder and I jumped turning

I laughed " what is it today touch the commander "
James had to cover his mouth to stop from laughing , his big shoulders shaking from holding it in . Kaiden went pure red awkwardly shaking his head .
I groaned realising how that sounded " damn it vega "
James chuckled deeply " kaiden if you go any redder you would put a krogen to shame . What's wrong alenko not want to think of mama hen like that "
I ran a hand through my hair and used the other one to push vega away playfully .

" yes Mammy I've been bad . Spank me " he laughed so hard . I couldn't help but join in . I laughed then threw my hands in the air " I give up I'm going to Dr Chakwas "
