If the situation hadn't been so serious, it would have been hilarious.
Under normal circumstances the collective forces of Genghis Khan, Alexander and Emperor DuGalle wouldn't have been able to make a scratch in the paintwork of the TARDIS, let alone make a dent.
However none of them had access to Gallifreyan weaponry.
One minute he had been setting the controls to take his companion to yet another planet and face the next big danger to the multi-verse, the next, they were falling out of control and out of the time stream after a direct hit from a Gallifreyan Anti-Matter missile.
He had barely had time to even think about taking evasive measures before the doors of the TARDIS warped and a missile came soaring in, headed for the console.
The very last thought that went though his mind before the missile hit the console and exploded, ending the lives of his companion and himself was "Never did get to Barcelona."
