"Come on Skydancer, faster!" The girl gripped the horse's mane and urged him on.

The stallion looked behind him, whinnied slightly at the sight of the dozen or more black stallions charging towards them. Skydancer leapt into the air, shooting bolts of lightning out at their persuers.

"I want to fight them!" he yelled to his mistress.

"And you think I don't? Do you really think I like running away like a coward? But we have no choice. I can't break the promise I made to Lady Brite!"

Skydancer snorted at the comment. He hadn't been able to stand the Lady since he was a foal and had watched Wisp defeat the Evil One. He didn't feel like someone such as her should be able to handle the power of the belt.

"Stormy, use your belt!"

"What are you nuts? I'm not trained to use it yet, what if something goes wrong? Everyone will kill me."

He gritted his teeth softly as he looked to his life long companion. "You're becoming a coward Stormy, just as soft as Wisp and the other Keepers of colour," he knew that comment would get to her.

Sure enough it did. Stormy's blood boiled at the horse's remark. Skydancer felt a strong pull on his mane and skidded to a halt. He felt Stormy stand and balance on his back. The girl swallowed hard and pushed her deep violet bangs out of her eyes. Her hand graced the black suede belt at her waist; the silver lightning bolt glistened at the touch of her hand.

The stallions and their riders continued charging forward harder than ever. Their mission was to destroy the newly appointed Keeper of the Seasons and make their up the hierarchy until the true Keeper of Colours was found and destroyed. Stormy's eyes narrowed, revealing the darkness within.

Finally she ripped the buckle from the belt, bringing it above her head and slapping it against her open palm. Lightning flashed around them as her slender body took on a faint glow. She screamed as a burst of violet power shot from her body. Skydancer whinnied and lightning pulsed from his hooves, entwining with Stormy's power. The stallions and their masters became caught up in the power. It ensnared them and they fought to avoid the powerful bolt of electricity pouring down upon them.

The teen fell limply across the horse's back, with barely a noise escaping from her.

"Stormy? Stormy answer me, are you okay?"

He felt a slight tug on his mane and sighed deeply. The girl slowly repositioned herself on the horse and looked around. The glow around her body seemed to fade in and out with each heartbeat.

"Skydancer, get us back to Rainbowland, hurry."

The violet stallion made sure his mistress was able to hold on before taking off at a full gallop, lightning trailing behind them.
