Name of Night, Fate of Day

Disclaimer: I do not own Final Fantasy XV.

His country fallen, his dear friends near,
Mourning the loss of his father dear,
With name of night and fate of day,
The True King sets out on his way,
To rid the land of a man unknown
And to reclaim his father's throne.

His friends stand by, the Astrals rise,
His true love fades before his eyes.
Unsure if he can withstand
The ring of destiny in his hand,
Alone and defenceless, the ring is placed,
And he begins the final race,
To reclaim the Crystal, and with it purge
The Star of Eos of its scourge.

The day is lost. The night brings strife,
The True King must give up his life.
Despite the pain, and through the toil,
He shuffles off his mortal coil,
To bring the sun to those held dear,
And rid the land of daemons' fear.

No longer can he hear their cries,
Or see tears falling from their eyes,
In despair from what they've lost,
To see what their salvation cost.
They hear the words of his life's end.
"I leave it to you. Walk tall…my friends."
