Author Notes: Hi everyone. Just for Information; the little part of Fleur is half in French and half in wrong English. If you like Charlie I have written other stories about him and Bill. Any review is welcome.

A good reason to stay

"When were you going to tell me you've decided not to go back to Egypt?" Asked a very familiar voice in Bill's new office at Gringotts. He looked up from his desk and smiled at his brother.

"When you told me you're back from Romania!" he replied, getting up to give him a hug. "When did you arrive?"

"This morning, but I can only stay here for a couple of days," Charlie said before breaking away from his brother's hug. "Mum's already complained about it, but that's not what I want to talk to you. Is it true what she told me? Are you really moving back to England?"

"I see that mum wasted no time in spreading the news."

"Oh come on, you know her! So, is it true?" Bill nodded.

"Yes, it is. I've found a flat here in London too, but as far from Percy's as possible." A part of him immediately regretted the comment, but nonetheless, he couldn't help himself.

"I hope so," came Charlie's curt reply. Talking about the less than pleasant situation that had sprung up between them and their brother never failed to make both of them angry, not to mention that the fact was still too recent, and too raw. It hurt Bill at least, because of the two of them he was the one who had had a better relationship with Percy.

"You seem very surprised by my decision," Bill said, with the intention of changing the subject from Percy.

"It's just that I never thought you were the type to work in an office."

"I'm not, but the situation has worsened in the magical world, Charlie, and I want to be able to help our family. I want to join the Order of the Phoenix. I want to do something, make myself useful."

"Let's be honest, Bill. You could have done something even if you'd stayed in Egypt. You could still have joined the Order and lent a hand from abroad, as I'm going to offer to do myself."

"I know I could have," Bill replied.

"So what's the real reason?" The other demanded. At that moment Bill's office door opened again, and Charlie saw Fleur for the second time. He had already seen her only once in the first task of the Triwizard Tournament at Hogwarts.

"Bill, Je ai finished pour today. Are we still OK pour this afternoon at five? Oh, ecuze moi, I didn't know you ere buzy," she said, noticing Charlie.

"No problem, Fleur. Today at five is perfect," he said smiling, his cheeks slightly flushed.

"Okay. See you later ten," Fleur said giving him a warm smile.

"See you later," Bill replied, under the eyes of his brother who was looking on in amusement. "It's not what you think," he said as soon as she was gone. "Fleur's found a job here at Gringotts, but she does not know our language well, and she needs to learn it. So I've simply offered to give her some private lessons."

"Hey, I'm not judging you brother. Giving English lessons to a girl like Fleur is definitely a good reason to stay."

"That's what I thought too," Bill said, smiling. "But I assure you that it is not the only one. I really want to stay closer to mum and dad."

"I know, brother. And I believe you." And this time, Charlie truly did.

"So do you want to see my new apartment?" Bill asked after a little moment of silence.

"Gladly. Just promise you'll call me when you introduce her to the family. I don't want to miss it." Bill tried to hit him, but his brother cleverly dodged it. Soon after the two left Gringotts, still laughing and chatting about everything and anything as they went.
