Rose Weasley-Malfoy was nervous wreck. A complete and utter nervous wreck. Though her husband of just one year found her discomfort quite hilarious, he was just as nervous as she was.
Why where they so nervous?
They were going to have a baby.
It wasn't the baby they were worried about- it was their parents' reaction to the baby. Both of their father's were still unhappy about their marriage, and everytime they saw the newlyweds they'd ask if there was a divorce somewhere in the near future.
"Everything will be fine. Relax Rose, stress isn't good for the baby." Scorpious told her, after watching her pace around their bedroom for half an hour. "No Scorp! Our Mum's will might be okay with the news but our Dad's won't!" She groaned, falling onto the plush comforter of their bed.
"Rosie... We'll tell them at dinner tomorrow." He said, kissing her neck.
"Malfoy."
"Weasley."
"Mrs. Malfoy."
"Mrs. Weasley."
That was how Ron and Draco greeted eachother and their wives each and everytime the other was forced to come over their home. Luckily for them, the only time they had to deal with eachother was at work or when their children wanted to have to family over for dinner.
Every single Weasley, Potter, and Malfoy (that wasn't dead or in Azkaban) were gathered at Molly and Arthur Weasley's home.
Everyone that is, except Scorpious and Rose.
"Of course they're late. Probably shagging in their car right as we speak." Albus scoffed.
"Albus!" Ginny yelped. "Mum! I'm almost 20! Besides everyone and their Grandmum knows they were snagging on the train ride home right before they announced their engagement." He cried.
That last statement caused both Draco and Ron to spit out their drinks.
"Mum?" "Dad?" Scorpious and Rose called out, as they entered her grandparent's home.
"So tell us, what's new with you two?" Arthur asked, turning to face Rose and Scorpious. "Yes you two have been acting very strange lately." Astoria mused, eating a bite of roast beef.
"Nothing much Mum. Though we did find a use for one of the empty rooms upstairs." Scorpious said. "Oh really? What for?" Harry asked.
"A nursery." Rose smiled.
Everyone stopped eating after Rose announced what the room was for. "You're pregnant? I'm gonna be an Uncle?" Hugo asked. "I'm due December 17." Rose said.
"Oh bloody hell. Now we're stuck being family forever." Draco grumbled.
"Draco!"
"Dad!"
"Ugh! When's this... Thing... Scorp put in me gonna come out! I'm almost two weeks late!" Rose groaned, sitting on the couch of her childhood home.
"It's smart. It's not coming out until you're old enough." Hermione said, as she continued doing the dishes. "Mum! I'm 21! I'm pretty sure that's old enough to be having children!" Rose groaned, getting up and waddling into the kitchen.
She was three steps into the kitchen when her water broke.
"Huh. I was standing right about there when my water broke with you and your brother. Sit down and I'll call Scorpious and your Father." Hermione said, rinsing off the dishes before going to pick up the phone.
"Ugh! Is it out yet?" Ron groaned, pacing around the waiting room of the hospital. "Weasley calm the bloody hell down. Our Grandson will be born soon enough." Draco scoffed.
"Grandson? Now why are you so convinced it's a boy that they're having? It could just as well be a little girl." Ginny pointed out, resting a head on Harry's shoulder.
"Girls aren't born into the Malfoy family; they marry into it." Draco said.
Right at that moment, Scorpious came out into the waiting room, a tiny pink bundle held securely in his arms, and the happiest grin anyone has ever seen on his face.
"By the looks of it Malfoy, you just got a Granddaughter." Harry smirked.
"Guys, this is Ava."
