Strong. Fast. Smart.

This was all Adam, Bree, and Chase had ever known. They had committed themselves to being bionic superhuman heroes since they were born. They needed to be strong, fast, and smart. They needed to train to improve themselves. They needed to balance everything on their shoulders; life-saving missions, helping people, training other bionic superhumans. The world knows them as heroes who can do the impossible. To save everyone against all odds...

But even superhumans are still human.

Being strong, fast, and smart isn't enough anymore. Now they need to be stronger, faster, smarter. It never seems to end. It never seems to be enough.

Adam can never relax.

Bree can never slow down.

Chase can never clear his mind.

No, this is what they were trained for; saving lives while risking their own. Working themselves to the breaking point to help someone. Carrying the constant weight of the world on their backs, with no one to lean on but each other. But even though they can support one another, on a mission or just at the Academy, the weight never lifts.

Stronger. Faster. Smarter.

They can't fail, ever. Not one failed mission. They put themselves in danger for the sake of humanity on a daily basis without so much as a break. A chance to stop, relax, slow down, and clear their heads. A hopeless dream for them.

Adam will never stop carrying the burden of the constant weight he shoulders.

Bree will never stop running until she can no longer breathe.

Chase will never stop trying to find a way to protect this world from the evils within it.

Because they are the original three; the world's protectors. And they can't stop until the world is free from all evil. Or until they are strong enough, fast enough, and smart enough.

But they all know, they will never be enough. The cycle of their lives will continue, they will continue to train, and they will save more people.

But one day, the weight of the world will be to much for the three heroes. They know they can't go on forever, that they will eventually succumb to the cruel reality they refuse to face. The end of their time on the world they had spent their whole lives trying to protect. And on that day, they will no longer need to be stronger, faster, and smarter.

The missions will be carried out by other bionic heroes; people will continue to be saved. But the world will have lost Adam, Bree, and Chase, the original trio. The original strong, fast, and smart bionic superhumans.

And the weight of the responsibilities they always had to juggle will be lifted, and they can finally stop.
