Tokyo Falls, update. It has been discovered that after the villain attack, students from Class 1-A of Yueii have been reported missing. Pro heroes have gone looking, but no luck. The government advises to seek shelter, and remain calm. -News 31
Midorya was heading out to get groceries when the attacks had begun. It was all a blur, he was fighting against a spike villian who he was easily beating, but things got messy after that. Some sort of dart flung into his back, everything was a blur, and he had gone out cold. Nomus in the area that were smashing buildings had eventually hit one at the right angle, covering him with the dust and concrete. He had been crushed... or so it was believed. It ends up, the syrum in the dart had been someones quirk enchanced, transforming him into an ebony cat with messy and long fur. There was a small area in where he was protected, though unconscious due to quite a few rocks hitting him. And there wasnt a way for him to get out either, he was pinned under a small boulder that had his tail caught.
Naturally, when the heroes found the torn and bloody remains of Deku's suit, the worst came to mind. After searching for the boy, they were unsuccessful and he was pronounced dead.
He wasn't the only one affected though: Nearby, Todoroki was also fighting a villian, after getting separated from a few classmates. The same situation happened to him, however, now the boy was a fox with red and white hair, and a large scar over his eye. He woke up sooner, trapped in the rubble but not as bad as Midorya: he had the occasional bruise here and there, while his memories came back in a flood.
Shoto Todoroki was pronounced dead.
The rest of the students were fine with minor to severe injuries, but naturally mourned their dead classmates.

Getting back to the dorms after the funeral for the vanished heroes in training, the whole class was in black, even Bakagou.
"I'm sorry dude.. I know how close you two were and all-" Kirishima had started, before the blonde's face twisted into a scowl. "I don't fucking care, leave me alone, I'm tired." he spat, before storming off. Kirishima sighed, he would check on Bakagou later.

Todoroki woke up with a rock smacking off his cheek, and he groaned. Looking around from his spot on the ground, everything was pitch black and he sighed, before moving to check for injuries. His hand moved to his leg, however, it just felt fur. A small whine came out of him, and the red and white fox jumped back before making a small fire to see. He wasn't... human, was he? Pinning his esrs back, he sighed. It had to be temporary, some sort of quirk. His suspicions were confirmed when a few feet away, there was a discarded dart on the ground.
Suddenly, there was a lound crumbling and he flinched, taking a few steps back before looking right. He had to get out of here, and the faint smell of blood seemed to be a good way to go.
He had been walking for about an hour, all while following the blood scent and avoiding bits of metal, flames dancing on his fur. The smell was extremely strong at one rock, and as he stepped to go around, his foot touched something rather soft, making him pause to check it out.
There was a tiny black cat with wavy fur, and green highlights. "M-Midorya..?" Todoroki asked, causing the body to let out a rough breath. The feline was stuck under a large rock, and with a jut of ice, he had lifted it up and flipped it away before inspecting him.
There was a sticky spot on his head, and shoulder blade. His tail looked crushed... it most likely was broken to bits, hopefully fixable. His legs had some minor scrapes, and his paws were raw.
He didnt know exactly what to do here... so quietly, he leaned in before licking the spot on his head. Todoroki hadn't noticed because of his quirk, but it was freezing in the area, and Midoriya was shivering faintly. The fox quickly, and quietly cleaned the other cuts to his best ability, before curling around the cat and slowly falling asleep all while covering him mostly with his body to keep him warm.
