With Seireitei evacuated, the Shinigami remnant in the Earth Realms passed a New Quartering Act.
Ichigo growled as Hanatarou moved into the bottom shelf of his closet, before Rukia huffed at him from the top shelf and slammed the door. He didn't even want to know why Byakuya had moved into his father's room.
Kyouraku moved in. Chad said nothing.
Keigo was bewildered and Mizuho gleeful when Ikkaku and Yumichika returned.
Ishida had been persuaded to put up Ukitake, which he consented to with only a "I hate Shinigami" every few minutes.
Mizuiro smilingly accepted Kira and a very distraught Kiyone and Sentarou, who wanted to be with their captain. No one ever asked what he was dong about his parents.
Orihime was happily cooking for Hitsugaya and Matsumoto again, now with Unohana, Isane, and Hinamori staying on.
Urahara seemed to be housing more Shinigami then could have fit into his store from the appearance of it from the outside. Ichigo knew at least Renji, Hisagi, Soi Fong, and her vice-captain were there.
Ichigo had thought Nanao had gone off with the Twelfth or stayed with the few ragged survivors still in Soul Society or died, probably. He ran into the Shinigami a few days later, going home from Hollow hunting. The two Shinigami.
"What the hell, Tatsuki!?"
Nanao's hand resting lightly on her shoulder, Tatsuki swung her sword over her shoulder. "I wasn't gonna wait forever, ya know?"
