Tohru Sohma sat on her living room couch, attempting to knit a pair of baby socks. So was talking animatedly to her husband, who was staring warily at her hugely pregnant stomach, as if at any moment it might pop open.

"Kyo, look!" Tohru cried triumphantly, holding up the pair of socks. One was bigger than the other, and the other one had a large hole in it. But Tohru looked so proud of herself, he couldn't bring himself to point it out.

"They're great," he said warily, before going back to watching her stomach suspiciously.

She laughed. "Kyo, I'm not going to have the baby for another two weeks. You don't have to worry so much!" Then she got up and headed towards the kitchen.

"Where are you going!?" he cried, immediately jumping up and blocking her.

"To get a cookie?" she said, phrasing it as a question.

"I'll get it!" he exclaimed before leading her back to the couch, barely touching her, as if afraid she might shatter.

When he was sure she wasn't getting up to follow him, he walked into the kitchen, looking around for the cookie jar. Tohru moved it on a regular basis. It was a little quirk she had.

Suddenly, he heard her squeal from the living room, and was standing next to her in a matter of moments.

"What's wrong!?" he practically yelled at her.

"I'm nine months pregnant, what do you think is wrong!?" she screamed. Kyo was taken aback. Tohru NEVER yelled and ANYONE.

"R-right," he replied, totally lost. "Uh…what do we do!?"

"We get to the hospital dumbass!" she yelled.

This was totally new to Kyo. He was pretty sure this was the first time in her life she had ever cussed.

Thirty minutes and a lot of screaming through the phone later, Kyo and Tohru were in a hospital room, about a million friends and family members in the waiting room. Tohru was currently threatening his life if he didn't get her some water.

He ran out of the room to comply with her request…er…demand, rather, and was instantly met by various people demanding to know what was happening.

"Well, uh, she threatened to rip my spleen out through my eye socket if I didn't get her some water, and so I'd really like to do that as quickly as possible."

"Tohru threatened you!?" Momiji asked incredulously. "Wow, I guess being in labor really does hurt."

"It must for Tohru to threaten bodily harm," Kisa agreed, nodding.

Four hours and much screaming and threatening later, Tohru's cursing was interrupted by the tiny crying of a baby. Her eyes instantly welled with tears and she smiled happily as she held her baby girl in her arms for the first time.

"Isn't she amazing, Kyo?" she asked happily. "I'm so happy!"

Kyo just looked at her disbelievingly.

Suddenly, the room was flooded with guests.

"Are you alright, Tohru?" Uo asked.

"Did it hurt?"

"What's her name?"

"She's so beautiful!"

"Can I hold her?"

Tohru laughed and happily answered any and all questions. No one noticed that Kyo had collapsed onto a chair, rubbing his head and swearing to never, ever, ever have another kid.
