Author's Notes: Blame my 20 minute commute to work and my watching some feel good movies for this oneshot. LOL Yes, It's mushy/gushy/corny/whatever you want to call it. And, yes, it's about Bobby and Angel. (I know I have a one track mind. LOL). LO:CI characters belong to Dick Wolf and company; original characters belong to me. In case anybody's wondering, Angel comes from my story "Bobby's Angel." Any and all mistakes made are my own. Read and enjoy. :o)

"I'm sorry, Mrs. St. John. We did everything we could to save your husband, but his body and heart just refused to fight any more."
And just like that, Angelica Pierson-St. John had lost the love of her life that she had been married to for 10 years and one month.

"Hi, I'm Angel," she said as she extended her hand to the tall, dark and handsome man with the beautiful brown eyes. "I'm Bobby," he replied with an easy smile.
And just like that, Angel made a new friend. A new friend who would one day turn into much more than that.

Today was the 6th anniversary of Garvin St. John's death. "Of course, today of all days, Bobby would go and get into a gun fight with some bank robbers and get grazed by a bullet," Angel thought as she worriedly paced back and forth in the living room floor. She hadn't thought about this being the day that Garvin died until she glanced at a wall calendar while listening to Alex tell her that Bobby had been taken to hospital for a non-life threatening gunshot wound.
Angel looked at her watch and sighed heavily as she continued pacing. "This is the exact time the doctor told me Garvin was dead." She stopped pacing when she heard a key turning in the lock of the front door.
Bobby stepped through the door with a bandage on his forehead and a sheepish look on his face. He hung his overcoat on the rack after he shut the door. He and Angel just stood there, staring at each other. "Are you okay?" she asked quietly. He nodded. "Just a slight headache. I…I'm sorry for not being here sooner. I wanted to get some paperwork done."
Angel bit her bottom lip as she looked at Bobby. She knew she should fuss at him for putting some stupid paperwork ahead of his health, but she decided against it. She was just grateful that he was home. She cleared her throat and said, "Have I told you that I love you today?" Bobby smiled as he pulled her into his arms for a hug. "Twice. Before we got out of bed this morning," he replied.
And just like that, Angel realized she had been very fortunate to have had 2 great loves in her lifetime.
