Why Won't You Let Me Love You?
by Maria Stars
The room was so dark and uninviting, who would want to be in such a room? Well, though that answer is hard to say, there is a lone figure in this room.
There you are
In a darkened room
And you're all alone
The figure is sitting in the window-seat of this dark room. He stares out the window at the white snow falling down to blanket the earth with its frosty beauty. He excludes himself from the joyous activities of his friends. He hasn't any interest in it.
"Fun", "joy", "happiness", these words have no meaning to this lost soul. He's just as cold as the beautiful white snow outside. He's been alone too long; he hasn't a reason to want to join his friends downstairs. The pain has been with him for too long.
Looking out the window
Your heart is cold and lost the will to love
Like a broken arrow
Another figure dares to enter the dark, lonely, and uninviting room. This figure is a girl. She looks longingly at the boy. I'm here. Why won't you come to me? Can't you see that I love you? She thought as she stared at him.
Here I stand in the shadows
Come to me, Come to me
Can't you see that?
I'm all alone in this world, no one cares about me, I'd be better off dead. The boy thinks to himself. Tears slide down his pale cheeks like small rivers that never ended.
Nobody wants to be lonely
Nobody wants to cry
I'm here for you. You're never alone my love. My arms long to hold you so much that it hurts inside. Precious time is slipping away. You can't live like this. I believe you are my soulmate. I've been waiting for you all my girl thinks as she continues to stare at the boy.
My body's longing to hold you so bad it hurts inside
Time is precious and it's slipping away
I've been waiting for you all of my life
Nobody wants to be lonely so why
Why don't you let me love you?
Can't you hear my voice; can't you hear my song? I'm singing a serenade, so your heart can find me... before I lose my mind. Run to me my beloved warrior. I'm dying inside of the pain. She paused in her thoughts, I know that this, this loneliness is not what you want. Those tears don't suit you. I want so bad to dry those tears from your eyes... but you won't let me touch you. The girl still stares longingly at the boy.
Can you hear my voice? Do you hear my song?
It's a serenade
So your heart can find me
Before I start going crazy
Run to me, Run to me
Cause I'm dying
Nobody wants to be lonely
Nobody wants to cry
You don't know how much I long to hold you and keep you safe in these two arms of mine. Time is oh so precious and it slips from our grasp so easily at times. I've been waiting all my life... all my life, just for you. Nobody wants to be lonely. Why won't you let me love you my warrior? The girl stays and watches over her lonely lover.
My body's longing to hold you so bad it hurts inside
Time is precious and it's slipping away and I've been waiting for you all of my life Nobody wants to be lonely so why, why don't you let me love you
The End
So, what did you guys think? Good? Bad? Tell me what you think, but no flames, please. The short little bits in-between the other stuff is a poem I found somewhere. I give full credit to whoever wrote it. I love it. I only want credit for what I typed.
I fixed it! I can't believe I hadn't noticed those errors before. Oh well... they're fixed now.
