Im a bit rusty at writing but had a few minutes to do something, this is inpired by a drabble I read on here a mouth or so ago, so thank you whoever wrote it. This is a scene where Merry and Pippin are in Isengard as the Uruki hai made it there with them... I hope you like...

Abi x.

Merry jolted himself awake, his body was cold, he was flat out on the concrete floor where he had been left. He tried to move but his body cried out in agony at the movement. A shrill shriek pierced his ears, one that he had heard before only on the odd occasion.
"Pippin" Merry mouthed to weak to open his voice box. Tears flooded his eyes, they where torturing Pippin, squeezing out the truth of the ring in any way they could. Saruman was kind at first but after finding that the two hobbits were not about to confide in and information his ways of making them talk became more violent. Merry feared for what contraption Saruman was using now. "Merry!" Pippin's voice came in the distance, calling for his older cousin. Merry heard Saruman's voice bellow. The older hobbit was helpless, chained to the wall in a dark chamber somewhere in Saruman's tower. He struggled and rolled onto his back, taking a sharp breath as he wounds came into contact with the floor. He didn't know how much his body could take this torture, but he would rather die than revile the plans of the fellowship and the whereabouts of the ring. A door suddenly clunked. Light flooded into the small room where Merry lay. The hobbit painfully twisted his head around to see the silhouette of an Uruk-hai in the small entrance. A small form was thrown close to Merry's body, he knew it was Pippin.

Merry sat up as best he could as the large door clunked shut once again. He felt with his hands in front of himself and found his cousin's still form.
"Oh Pip" Merry heaved his cousin onto his lap and felt his face, he was glad he couldn't see it. His hands came into contact with a warm liquid. "what have they done to you now?" Tears trickled down Merry's cheeks, he shuddered at the thoughts crossing his mind.
Pippin took a ragged breath and cried out suddenly, "Merry?" he choked and coughed, sickening Merry with the sound.

"I'm here Pip" Merry stroked his cousin's beaten face. Pippin's hands felt for Merry's and he clamped them onto his cousin's with frightening strength. The older hobbit almost hand to cry out for him to stop. "Merry?" Pippin's voice came in a shuddering gasp, "I cant do this anymore" Merry's heart failed for a second, he pulled his cousin closer to him, Pippin was shaking wildly. "I would rather die" Pippin choked.

"Pip, don't give up" Merry tried to keep his voice strong, but emotion seemed to consume it. "Please don't give up, for me Pip, and for Frodo"

"I'm Sorry!" Pippin pulled himself up to embrace his cousin, "it just hurts so much"
The two cousin's remained in silence for a minute, holding each other in close contact. Merry wished he had never let Pippin come on the quest, the two of them were only doomed to die, at the hands of Saruman. Aragorn will not come for them, his duty is to the fellowship and the ring. There was no hope, all hope was gone.
