Born into a world

Exempt from light,

A world without day,

Constant night.

Cloaked in darkness,

Regarded with fear,

Call out if you want,

But no-one can hear.

Living alone,

Nobody cares,

There's no-one to listen,

To hear your prayers.

Yearning for love,

To be held and to hold,

No-one can save you

From this endless cold.
