There is one in everyone.
Some are small.
Others burn, threatening to eat you from the inside out.
But no matter what there is an aching.
Whether it is am aching to a time that was, when Wormtail wasn't a traitor, Padfoot wasn't an ex-convict, and Prongs wasn't dead.
It could be an ache to prove yourself; to tell the world that you didn't kill James and Lily.
It could be an ache to comfort a son that a mother cannot hold, sing to, or rock in her arms.
It could also be an ache inside, knowing that you tried your best, but still could not protect your wife or your son from the wrath of a dark lord.
It could be an ache to become your own self, not always be overshadowed by your older brothers.
It could also be an ache to be the best, always the best, to become the most well-rounded person and to know everything.
Or it could be and ache like one boy has. An ache to show the world that you are more than just a name. An ache to find your heritage, to find out why certain things happened to you, and not to someone else. An ache for a family; a father to play catch with, a mother to teach you how to treat a girl and teach you how to dance. An ache for someone to dry your tears at night when you are scared. But most importantly, an ache for love.
Disclaimer: All characters belong to the wonderful J.K. Rowling. Don't sue me.
