"Faye!" Gray says. "Just the girl I was looking for!"

Faye, sitting on a log near camp, looks up from the pot of water she has boiling over a fire. "What is it, Gray?"

"Well…" His eyes gaze out into the nearby woods as his mouth curls upward in a smile, as if he's in thought. "I was wondering if you could do something for me."

"Do what?" Faye gets out a bundle of vegetables and begins chopping them with the trusty knife she always keeps on her.

"You've started drawing lately, right? Kliff told me."

Mixing the chopped vegetables into the water with a spoon, Faye absentmindedly says, "Mmhm."

"Great! So…" Gray pauses, hesitating.

Faye hums a tune she heard from a few Deliverance soldiers, half-paying attention to Gray.

"I… ask for you to draw me. Naked."

Faye abruptly freezes, as if she were a gargoyle. Her grip on the spoon loosens, and it falls into a sea of boiling soup. Her breathing stops for a moment as her face turns the darkest shade of red. She then takes a deep breath. "WHAT!?" Faye shouts, so loud that soldiers multiple leagues away can hear her.

Gray laughs nervously. "Uh, just let me expl—"

"WHY!? WHY!? WHY IN ALL OF VALENTIA WOULD YOU WANT ME TO DRAW YOU NAKED!? JUST WHY!?" Faye continues to yell madly for Mila-knows-how-long, her face bright red, whether it be from anger or embarrassment. Or both.

"C-Calm down, will you!? The whole camp's gonna hear you!"

"NO! NO! JUST… JUST… WHY!?"

Eventually, Faye loses her voice, and she collapses onto a bed of grass. She breathes in and out in a way that frightens Gray.

"Uh… So if you're done…"

"Just why?" Faye manages to rasp out. She sluggishly grabs her flask of water and takes a large gulp.

Gray clears his throat. "So, the reason I ask that is… Well… Clair."

"Clair? What does she have to do with this?" Faye asks, a touch of anger still left in her voice.

"You have noticed how… beautiful she is, right?"

It takes a moment for her to process it. "Oh, so you expect to impress her with a naked self-portrait of yourself!?"

"It's not that…" Gray averts his eyes from Faye's wrathful gaze. "Okay, fine, it's exactly that."

"Do you actually think that would work!?"

"Nothing I try on her gets her to notice me and my amazing looks and talent!"

"Psh…" Faye rolls her eyes.

"C'mon, Faye! It's not like you haven't seen me without clothes before!"

Faye blushes, cringing. "That's the worst thing you could possibly say! And I didn't want to see any of you like that! Oh Mila, why couldn't you and the others bring an extra bathing suit that day!?"

Gray smirks. "Admit it: You liked it."

"No, I did not," Faye denies vehemently.

"Ya sure about that?" Gray says, putting his hands on his hips.

"Y-Yes! Now go! Get out of my sight! I have some soup to cook for Alm and the others, and you aren't getting any!"

Gray's smile sinks to a frown. "Aw man… I guess I shouldn't have asked…"

Faye tsks. "Yes, you shouldn't have."

Gray turns to leave, but he stops after two steps and turns back. "Say, Faye? Mind if I ask you something, just to quench my curiosity?" He dons a teasing smile that Faye doesn't notice through her annoyance.

"Ugh, what is it?"

"Have you drew Alm naked before?"

Once again, Faye freezes as blood rushes to her face. "I-I… Wh-Wha… A-A-Alm… N-N-Na…" she stutters.

Gray walks away, laughing his head off.
