Sam finds something out in a rather abrupt way. Cas is embarrassed. Dean will be too.

Out of all the goddamn ways Sam could have possibly found out his brother was screwing the angel… this was not the one Sam would have chosen.

Because apparently, Dean neglected to mention that Cas would greet Dean with a very enthusiastic kiss. A sloppy, gross, probably-not-PG kiss.

One problem.

Dean's body contained not his own soul, but Sam's, which meant that it was Sam's face being attacked.

Castiel seemed to realize this. Too late. Far too late. Because Sam would never unsee- unfeel- this new realization about his huntmates' relationship.

"Sam?" Cas gasped.

Sam provided Cas with a look that was a combination of guilty, disturbed, and completely foreign on Dean's face.

"My apologies," Cas said politely, but Sam thought that was not nearly enough to cover it. Some groveling and a mind-wipe might be in order.

"There was a witches' spell," Sam explained halfheartedly. "Gone by morning."

"Right," agreed Cas, uncharacteristically staring at the floor.

Sam coughed, and left. "I'll, uh, I might as well go to sleep now. Huh?"

"Yes," Cas agreed again. "I- ah- I assume Dean's soul is in your body?"

"It is," Sam said. And left.

ooo

The next morning, Sam woke on the couch.

He'd gone to sleep in one of the spare rooms, or rather, Dean's body had. He woke, luckily, in his own body. Dean had apparently done nothing more than drop himself onto the couch and go to sleep.

But now that everything was back in order…

ooo

"Dean. Cas."

"What's up, Sammy?" Dean asked, oblivious to last night's shenanigans.

"When, exactly. were you going to tell me you were together?"

Sam grinned wickedly at the resulting shade of pink on his brother's face. Oh, but Dean wasn't off the hook. Oh, HELL no… he had some teasing to catch up on...

Hey! I'm alive! Some exciting things have happened and I really want to start another story, but instead, I'm going to finish the story I've been working on since before I got this account.

I can see it. The light. The one at the end of this tunnel.
