Don't Forget Me

Sango swallowed the lump that was rising in her throat, whilst she looked up at the overclouded sky. It was stained with grey clouds, as that day, it seemed to be willing itself to rain. However, there was no success in that attempt.
Looking up at the sky... it helped her to forget what she wanted to forget. Although she had left the group she had once traveled around with, she still didn't feel like she wanted to cry around anyone. Over the past few years, she felt as though she had cried far too much.
A frown crossed the taijiya's face. Why couldn't people live as they wanted to... as they had planned their lives to be? After all, her plan had originally to live in her village, and she was content at that. But Naraku... he had changed the route she wanted to change.
But to be honest, Sango sometimes... just sometimes, found the need to thank Naraku. If she didn't, she wouldn't have met that one person.
Feeling another urge to burst into tears, Sango once again returned her concentration to look at the far off sky. Sighing, she decided that she would have to do some more training to make up for this... childishness. Crying once or twice was acceptable, but more than once literally surprised her. After all, she didn't want a strong heart that couldn't cry... couldn't feel emotion, like so many people she knew. That irked her to no end. But, she didn't want a weak heart that continually cried.
Shooting stars. Yes, in that area shooting stars had been sighted. Sango bit her bottom lip, deciding that she would remain staring at this sky until night fell over her. Until the shooting stars came. So she could have one wish. Just one. In fact, she would rather see it now, but she couldn't. Daylight was still around, and the chances of seeing a shooting star at that moment were... well, low. Very low.
Sango's facial features had softened for a moment, as the words he had said to her ran through her head.
"Don't forget me."
Idiot. It's not like she could. Those words were plauging her mind. It had been every day since everything had happened. In truth, his face... and those words... had been in her head since they last spoke, and last seen each other.
"Damn you Houshi-sama," Sango sighed, continuing to wait for the night.

A/N Gah, that was so cheesy and lame. Blame Disney (I'm going to DisneyLand soon is a big kid). Erm, I wrote this because I had nothing else to do, and it was supposed to be longer but I ran out of ideas. So yeah.
