Miyuki: Once again looking through my folder of fanfiction on my computer, and thinking 'why in the seven alternate dimensions of Easter have I not published this crap?' because there's actually a lot of finished stuff.

Disclaimer Brett: Isn't it obvious? Soul Eater isn't owned by anyone on this site. Thus FANfiction.

They were falling. He was in scythe mode; his Miester was loosely gripping him. It felt like a dream, like what was happening wasn't truly real. Soul felt as though he'd wake up any moment and find out that none of this had happened. But it wasn't a dream; and Soul knew that he had to snap out of it. Still falling. Soul looked towards the ground. If he fell from this height in scythe form, he would be hurt. If he fell from this height in human form, he would be more severely hurt. But what if a human fell from this height at this speed and landed dead on concrete? "Maka!" he called out to her, even though she was nearly unconscious. He morphed into human form, and reached for Maka. Soul grabbed his partner and clutched her small form tightly, facing his back downward. 'Need… to protect her…' he thought when he was a mere metre from the ground. He was so focused that he didn't even scream when his spine collided with a sturdy wooden box, shattering it to pieces. His back forcefully struck the hard bricks of the road, and he let out a soft and short groan of anguish, but that was all. All that seemed to matter was if Maka was alright. She slowly raised her trembling arm up towards the Kishin.

"I have to stop… the Kishin…"she breathlessly affirmed. Then, still slightly shaking, she passed out in Souls' arms. Soul adjusted his position slightly to accommodate her better, but was forced to abjure because of the lingering pain.

"You're really something..." his voice trailed off. Flashes from above distracted him, and Soul watched the epic battle in the sky, holding 'his' girl the entire time.

Miyuki: I dunno lol *ponyshrug* (okay never again will I mix fan stuff)
