I do not own Inuyasha

"Do as you wish," Sesshomaru always told her.

'But not this one,' he thought.

People were screaming in chaos that the bride had been stolen. The bridegroom stared up at the sky in chock.

Yearning.

His jaw clenched, his nails dug into his palms, forming fists. He wanted to follow the demon but he had not the power to fly. He was furious, frustrated to have his bride snatched right before his eyes, yet all he could do was watched.

"Lord Sesshomaru, what is going on?" asked the human girl. The bride of the day was now wrapped inside the strong arms of the great dog demon lord. He remained silence, concentrated on ahead.

Flash back

"I'm going to be wed in the next two weeks, and I want your blessing," the human girl shyly asked, her cheeks blushed the color of light pink.

He walked away without a word, leaving the human girl stood stunned at the spot.

Confused.

It had been five fears since the war had broke out, he went to war. Once he put an end to it and returned, his ward was no longer a child but a woman. Ready to be wedded. The first thing she asked him was for a blessing.

A blessing?

He was not ready for that.

After remained silence for two weeks, his inner had been in turmoils that whole times and he could no longer tolerated it, the thought of her being another man's.

So he did the one thing he could, he stopped the wedding.

End of flash back

"Lord Sesshomaru?" she tried once more. "Please put me down."

"No," he circled the forest a few times, creating a false trail so his half-brother, the only person who was capable of tracing him down, could not trail him.

"Why?" she wanted to know. She did not struggle, but still wanted to know her lord's reason.

"You will not marry him!" he flew at full speed, taken the young woman as far away from the village as possible.

"But why? He is a good man."

"I won't let you."

She stared at the lord who had not made eyes contact with her since he took her from the wedding.

"You're mine!" he declared.

"Rin will be with lord Sesshomaru forever and ever," she once said.

He took those words to heart, but she seemed to have forgotten. She had found someone she wanted to spend the rest of her life with. But he would not let her go. Could not let her go.

She was his.

Always had been and always would be.

He always got what he wanted and no one would ever taking what was his. Over his dead body!

"Mine," he repeated.

The girl looked at him sadly before wrapping her slim arms around his strong back and shoulder, her head rest against his muscular chest.

"Is that what you wish?" she whispered.

"Hn,"

"Then as you wish, it shall be," she murmured. Tears flooded her beautiful big eyes; the salt smell assaulted his nose. He suddenly came to a halt, looking at the young woman who buried her face inside his chest.

She would no longer be married, yet he wasn't happy. Because she wasn't happy.

"You love him," he stated.

"Yes," she answered.

"You want to marry him."

"Yes."

"But you won't if I say no."

"Yes."

"Why?"

"Because I love you, too. And I will not do anything that you don't wish me to."

"Do you pity me?"

"No"

His feet took root on the solid earth, letting the wind brushing passed them while holding the woman in his arms tightly against his chest.

His treasure.

Ahh… I can't write the end. I won't. I will stop here because to continue it would break my heart. So I will stop it here and let the ending open to your imagination. Reviews please and letting me know what you think.
