Soundwave's Discovery
Part One
By: Peaceblossom
She bopped her head to the music that played in her earphones. The new beats headphones her father had given her for her birthday were definitely worth the $150.00 price tag. She smiled peacefully as she listened to her music and skimmed through a magazine.
The sound of young male voices laughing filled the living room but went unnoticed by the young dark haired woman.
Two young boys about six years old laughed as they were floating in the air by the ceiling. They played footsies with each until the young woman turned around and saw them. She gasped in surprise tossing her book aside.
"Not again." She jumped up as she heard a car engine in front of the house. The young woman closed her eyes and tried to concentrate. Then the two boys slowly sank back down to the carpeted floor.
"Awww. We were having fun up there sis." They pouted.
The young woman smoothed out their clothes and tied their hair. "Don't tell mom and dad about this okay. They wouldn't understand."
The twin boys looked at each other. "Okay."
A few weeks later, all the appliances in the house started to go haywire when ever the young woman tried to use something. First small things like the toaster or the coffee maker. But when things like the TV and the radio and cell phones went bazurk, she knew something was really wrong and sooner or later, her parents would realize these occurrences were not a coincidence.
Truth was she had been hiding her strange happenings, since she wasn't sure what this whole thing was, for years. But lately it's been harder and harder to say it was an accident. Her little brothers thank goodness were never injured, they actually thought it was fun and funny. But if her parents found out she would be taken to some kind of hospital, that was the last thing she wanted. The only consolation was she was beginning to control these strange occurrences a little bit more in recent years.
Three years ago, their house caught fire because of an electrical surge. She was sure it was her fault, but of course she couldn't tell anyone. The insurance company simply took it as it was, a massive surge and paid for everything. They moved twice since then. And she hoped by now she could keep what this was under control.
But little did she know, her life was about to change, in ways she could never have imagined.
To be continued…
