DISCLAIMER: I don't own Harry Potter plots, settings, or characters.

I have managed to get through six years of schooling, survive encounters with seven-foot tall spiders, a man who was said to have murdered a bunch of people, a countless number of death eaters, and so much more. But now that I'm faced with it, I can't write a decent letter to Hermione.

Harry's easy to write to. I can just be to the point because Harry is just a friend, and he isn't hard to get my feelings across to. I don't have to worry about headings or closings with him.

Harry-

You're coming to my house on Friday. Miss you, mate. See you soon.

-Ron

It was easy. His name, then whatever I feel like saying, then my name. It's just an easy normal letter. I don't have to worry about hidden messages, or not making it seem like I like him, or letting something slip that I shouldn't have said.

No, that job is specifically reserved for Hermione.

First off, I can't figure out how I want to head the letter. If I just right Hermione then it seems like I don't care about her at all, and I do. If I write Dear Hermione it seems like I'm trying too hard to get onto her good side and seem proper. But I guess trying to impress her is better then acting like I don't care at all. So here we go:

Dear Hermione,

The rest of writing this letter is easy. I just have to ask her to stay with me for a little while.

Dear Hermione,

How's your summer been? I hope you aren't doing too much work; it would be such a waste of the free time that we have off right now. You know we're going to have a lot of time to read in the next couple months.

Anyways, I was wondering if you wanted to come stay at the Burrow for a little while. Harry isn't here yet, but we could hang out with Ginny, if you came.

And now was the especially hard part. The closing.

Love sounds too cliché, and I don't want to sound cliché in front of Hermione. Also, that's how she signs her letters to me, and I don't want to seem like a copy cat. Sincerely seems too proper too, because I'm not proper at all, and it again sounds like I'm trying too hard. I would never say a word like sincerely.

Yours truly sounds like the ending to a love letter in one of those sappy romance novels that Ginny has all over the house. (Why does anyone read those anyways? They're a bunch of mushy crap that will never come true.). I like yours though, because I am hers, and I will always be hers. I'll always be hers.

Yours always,

Perfect.

Good? Bad? Review:)
