The Fullmetal Alchemist was sitting on the long couch in Colonel Mustangs office. He had been waiting for him to come back from a meeting, that he had somehow been drug into. Looking at the wall opposite him with an annoyed expression, he sighed heavily. What the hell kind of meeting takes this long? He slowly took out his pocket watch. I've been waiting for about a damn hour. That stupid asshole forcing me to stay and wait. I wonder what he wants to see me about…

Just about then the door opened revealing a very disappointed Colonel. Turning around he locked the door behind him. Once he caught a glimpse of Ed, he smiled slightly walking towards the couch. Ed looked up and narrowed his eyes suspiciously.

"What took you so long Mustang? No, never mind that. What did you call me down here for that was so important?"

Roy sat down facing Ed, his hands placed casually on his knees. Looking up into golden eyes he wondered for a moment if he should really do this. His day had started out well up until the meeting, and he probably wouldn't be able to take another disapproval of his thoughts about certain things. He knew for sure that a rejection would be even worse. Especially if it was from Edward…

"Well spit it out I don't have all day ya know." Ed said irritated that Roy had said nothing since coming in the room.

Roy narrowed his eyes. I can't believe that I like a brat like that. Why did I even bother? "Well Ed I… I was just wanting to say that…" Roy tried to think of something different. "I wanted to tell you that your last mission didn't go as well as I'd hoped it would. Which with you everything can be caught up short. It was quite a disappointment as well…"

Ed's eyes went wide. "You asshole! I did everything that I could on that… Fuck you! How dare you call me short!!"

Ed pulled his hand back ready to punch Roy strait on the jaw. Forcing it forward he was surprised to see that the Colonel wasn't intending to dodge it at all, neither was he going to strike back. His fist stopped a few inches short of Roy's face. Looking at him angrily he pulled his hand away and glared.

"Alright then I know that wasn't all you brought me here for. You sounded all happy on the phone so I know there must be more."

Roy let his eyes drop to the floor taking a deep breath. Turning back to Ed he leaned in a bit closer.

"I don't think you want to know."

"Oh really and who are you to judge?" ,he shot back.

Roy stood up quickly and walked over to his desk. Sitting down he rotated the chair around so that he was looking out the windows. The back of the chair was facing Edward silently. After a few moments though he heard Roy mumble something to him.

"What did you say?"

Roy repeated it louder this time. "Get out."

"What do you mean get out? There must be so-"

"I said 'get out', Edward. Now do it. I have a lot more important things to attend to than you."
