Our story begins in a small suburb just outside of London, England, in the late 19th century. Tragedy had struck a man of noble blood, and his name was Arthur Holmwood. The woman whom he had cared so deeply for was dead, or so he thought. He was most distressed. Then, strange occurrences started taking place. Children began disappearing, only to reappear weakened with small wounds upon their necks. A very clever man by the name of Abraham Van Helsing determined that the Un-Dead were among them. It was also soon discovered that Arthur's fiancee had become one of them. And so, Van Helsing, along with Arthur, Quincey Morris, and Dr. John Seward, went to go destroy the beast, in hopes that her poor soul would finally be able to rest in peace.

As the three infiltrated the graveyard...

... She stirred. Startled, the Un-Dead slowly lifted her head from her prey's neck and sniffed the air.

... Blood... I smell human blood... they are coming... coming to destroy me...

The Un-Dead smirked. It looked like she would not be returning to her tomb tonight. She would have to flee... But she would need her coffin with her.

A dim light cast from a lantern slowly made its way towards the tomb of the Un-Dead. Seeing this, the Un-Dead slowly approached the tomb. The night air was chill, but she did not seem to notice it. As she came near to the tomb, she stopped. Crouching low in the bushes, Lucy heard a voice from the small hunting party.

"Quickly now. We must strike whilst she least expects it. If we fail, then we may not see light of day again!" Van Helsing whispered to his companions. He motioned for them to follow, and they all entered the tomb.

Minutes later, they all emerged from the tomb, looking shocked.

"Where could she be?" Arthur pondered.

"I do not know, my young friend, but we must find her quickly!" Said Van Helsing.

"I though we sealed the tomb up last night!"

"We did, Art, but, in case you didn't notice, there was a large hole blasted out of the wall." said Mr. Morris.

Van Helsing looked down sternly for a minute or two, then looked up and said, "Come! We must scour the graveyard for her!" And so, they all left and began to search the nearby tombstones.

Lucy took this opportunity to stealthily crawl back into the tomb and retrieve her coffin. Being a vampire, carrying her coffin was not a very difficult task. Sneaking out the back way which she had made earlier, Lucy stole off into the night.

When the hunting party returned to the tomb, and saw that the coffin was no longer there, Van Helsing, looking paler than ever, cried out, "Mien Gott! She has taken her coffin with her! She is fleeing from us as we speak!"

"She can't have gone far! We may be able to catch her!" Dr. Seward shouted.

"Then let us make haste to find her! We must catch her before she harms others!"

And so, they scoured all of London in hopes of finding her, but to no avail. She had managed to escape. "Well," said Dr Seward, "Like they say, 'Denn die Todten reiten schnell- For the dead travel fast.'"

"Perhaps," said Van Helsing in a dead serious tone of voice, "Much too fast for us to catch."
