"What?!" Ron asked, outraged as he looked at his class schedule. "They can't do this! This is inhuman! How can they do this?!"

"Settle down, Ronald," Hermione said cooly, sipping her coffee. "They are the professors, they can do as they please."

"What's up with Ron?" Harry, who had woken up late and was just arriving at the breakfast table, asked the sixteen year old witch.

"Ron here is upset because of the Potion's schedule change," Hermione explained.

"Upset?!" Ron cried indignantly and his voice squeaked. "I'm bloody outraged!"

"What did they change?" Harry asked as he loaded his plate with eggs and bacon.

"We are now to be combined with the fifth years who are taking advanced potions, Ronald is angry because Ginny is in that class."

Harry almost choked on his eggs when Hermione said the name of Ron's little sister. This was going to be an interesting school year.

Harry's heart was pounding at how close Ginny was sitting to him. He couldn't help but glare at Professor Slughorn who had made this seating arrangement, for once not allowing his students to sit where they pleased.

"Harry," Ginny hissed angrily, "You need to hurry up chopping that Bat's Wing!"

Harry looked down at the said ingredient in his hand; it still remained whole. He hadn't even touched it with the silver dagger.

Hastily, he began to chop it to make up for last time.

Crap, he thought, I don't even know what we're making!

"This is such a simple potion!" Ginny muttered at his side. "I'm surprised he's having us brew it here. This is third year stuff!"

"Yeah," Harry agreed quietly. He finished chopping the Bat's wing and dumped the pieces into their cauldron.

"Harry, NO!" Ginny shrieked when she saw what he was doing.

But it was too late, the cauldron and its contents exploded.

Yep, Harry thought as he lay in Madame Pomfrey's stretcher on the way to the Hospital Wing, this will be an interest school year.
