Finding My Way Back To You

Edited version of my first fanfiction, I was reading through some old stories and even I got confused reading it so I decided to revamp it as such

Set in New Moon Edward leaves Bella alone only to be reunited years later when it appears Edward has moved on...

Disclaimer: I do not own twilight or any of the characters (a girl can wish, cant she?) except some I may have made up!

EPOV

I had run as far as Canada until I dared myself to look back. I could somehow still smell her scent everywhere, lingering on my clothes, clawing at my skin, that's when I broke down.
Violent sobs racked my strong frame until I eventually let myself go and the emotions dragged me down where I laid down in a small ball, the snow crunching beneath me. I pulled my clothing further round myself.

Cloaking myself with her scent.

Unaware of how long I stayed there, I managed to raise my head a little to see the sky was beginning to brighten, an odd mix of blue and pink shone across the sky as the first rays of sunlight crept out of the clouds shining directly on my skin that glistened like diamonds.

A fire ripped it's way through me, burning images of Bella in my mind, the way she looked everyday, the way her deep chocolate eyes bored into mine, the little red highlights she had in her dark hair.
Anger flushed it's way from the top of my head to the tips of my toes imagining her with anyone but me, when she gets married or bears another man's children, but the worst thought of all, the one that ripped my heart out, was the knowledge that in time her memory will fade and I will just become a faint summer memory when she was just 17.
