I felt the sun on my face and tried to shut my eyes, to no avail. So I cracked one eye open. The sun brutally attacked it, thanks to the large window. Instead, I rolled onto my side, with my back toward the window.
That's when I saw the apartment. I didn't get a good view of last night in the dark while my lips attached to Mark….Matt…..Mike, that's his name. It's was a studio apartment and I could tell it was a pricey one. His kitchen had stainless steel appliances and looked brand new. All his furniture in the place looked brand new too.
I could see him from bed. He was bending over with the fridge door open. I was about to open my mouth when he spoke first.
"I'd love to see you tonight babe."
"I'd love to see you tonight too," I replied as he started to make his way towards me.
"Shh." And that's when I noticed the Bluetooth on his ear. "I've missed you too. That's why we should go out and have fun. We haven't seen each other because we've been so busy."
Mike stopped a few feet in front of me, though not paying attention to me, but still continued to talk on the phone. I quickly grabbed my shirt from the floor and slipped it over my head. As I started pulling my pants up, Mike spoke again, but this time to me.
"Want some breakfast?"
Before I could answer, he looked down at his watch and spoke again. "You know what, I just remembered, I have something to do at 10 and it's already 9:30."
I finished dressing and grabbed my shoes and purse. As I started to walk away, I took one last look at Mike. He was shirtless and had a killer six pack going on, along with that delicious little V. But then I realized, when I thought about it, that I had yet again, slept with someone with great looks and had a crappy personality.
Why must I always fall for those guys, since they always turn out the same? I know this, yet, I keep falling under their spell.
In that moment I made a pact with God, that I would stop sleeping around and would save myself for my future husband but I needed help so he needed to send me said future husband. Preferably one that's nice, has a decent job, and has some attractiveness to him. That's totally fair, and nothing major, in my book.
After my brief time for a prayer, I rushed out of the apartment like it was on fire.
