Obi-Wan Kenobi had never thought of having children of his own. Not because the code forbade it, no. Simply because he never thought himself as a good father. At least not till Anakin Skywalker came into his life. Their relationship had been rocky at first, much like his had been with Qui-Gon. Eventually that faded, they became friends, brothers even.

Then one day it changed.

"You've always been like a son to me, Anakin." he remembered telling him with pride after his Knighting Ceremony. His once apprentice had been at a loss for words, so simply pulled him into a hug. When he was able to speak, his voice was rough with emotion. "And you were always like a father to me, Master." Obi-Wan hugged him tightly, before stepping back. Looking back now, the Master Jedi regretted ever letting go. . .

He felt the ship descend into the atmosphere of a planet. He felt darkness close around, and shielded his presence. The ship landed, and he heard light footsteps running out. Obi-Wan felt like he'd aged 20 years in a matter of hours. His heart clenched at what he was about to do. Gripping his lightsaber tightly in his hand, he opened the door to the compartment he'd been hiding in. He was about to do something no father should ever have to do. . .

He was about to kill his son.
