Summary: She has escaped from her past for years, but with him, it's never far enough.

She got off of the bicycle and walked into the building, but not before noting the odd feeling in the pit of her stomach. She hadn't felt like this since the escape from San Diego. This job was starting to get a little boring… maybe today would be her last day.
Yes, it was official. Tomorrow she would run away. Where? That was yet to be decided. She passed the blonde secretary and went into her office. The last day in this town.
It was six in the evening, and she was sitting in her car, looking at the apartment building for the last time. She liked this town. It was in the southern part of New Jersey, a nice spot, but too much like her home town for any comfort. So she was moving, just like a million times before.
The idea behind it all sounded odd, but it really has become fairly normal for her. Since her 18th birthday, when she ran away from home, she has moved constantly. If she was a therapist, she might have realized it was an innate fear of the past that caused discomfort at staying put for too long. But she was no therapist; only a twenty seven year old woman who has always been an extreme people-person.
She had lived in dozens of cities, but never for longer than six months. This last one had been four and a half. At every place she rented a new apartment, got a new job, made new friends. She had gone to business school, and had a talent for dealing with people, which made her a valuable asset, so getting a job was never a problem.
The longer she stayed in one spot, the more nervous she became, until one day she decided it was time to move on. This wasn't neccessarily the best life, but it was hers and that made all of the difference in the world. No one ordered her around these days.
The map that had become so very familiar rested on her lap, and she stared down at it, with a twinkle in her eye, and a smile on her face. She pulled out a pin from her hair, shut her eyes tight, and stuck it into the map. The grin widened. New York City, watch out. Tenten is coming.
Tell me if I should write this as a story or not.
