Leo's eyes followed adult Wyatt warily, turning and deliberatly shifting Chris to his other arm, away from Wyatt. His eyes left Wyatt for an instant to glance at Piper and Phoebe, both of whom didn't seem at all put out at having the older version of their eldest son and nephew respectively wandering around the house. He was so surprised... shocked, that he didn't even really regiester what anyone was actually saying.

"Hey! Is this Chris?"

Those where the first words he took in.

"My gosh, he's so small. Hey little brother."

And Leo couldn't stop himself from moving, turning away as Wyatt reached for the baby he held. Couldn't stop himself for that moment of abject fear that Wyatt was going to do something to hurt Chris.

The last time he had seen his eldest son in adult form it had been when Barbas had shown him how evil Wyatt had become, and everything from that time was so jumbled and ingrained inside him, Chris, Wyatt, his fear of losing his eldest son to evil, and his youngest to death.

He knew that they had changed the future, knew that Wyatt was no longer evil, but that did not stop the fear he felt at the thought of this older Wyatt touching Chris, it was bad enough that he still had nightmares where he saw his sons fighting, where he saw Wyatt as the one who stabbed Chris.

The nightmares didn't make sense, but it had become a fear of his. After all, if Chris could come back in time to stop Wyatt being evil, who was to say Wyatt could not return to kill Chris, to stop it ever happening.

It was irrational, and it was not something he ever worried about when he watched his son's play together as they were now, it wasn't something that bothered him outside his dreams, but seeing Wyatt, even as clean cut and wholesome as he seemed now, brought the dreams back, and he could do nothing but move Chris away.

He was brought back from his thoughts sharply when Wyatt's hand landed on his shoulder and he heard himself speak, heard himself ask what was going on.

Was it terrible of him to be glad when Wyatt removed his hand and walked away? Did it make him a bad father to be glad that he was not going to touch Chris? All he knew was that he was relieved, and he pulled Chris a little closer, aware of Piper's concerned look as he did so, Phoebe oblivious as she began to explain wat had happened.

Written because I've just watched the scene in Imaginary Fiends when Wyatt meets Leo and Chris on the upstairs landing and Leo actually looks a little afraid of Wyatt, and actually shifts Chris away from him, like he's afraid to let him touch him. It made me think (I'm pretty sure he hasn't seen Wyatt or Chris between the end of season 6 and this episode... except possibly his vision quest) so the last time he saw Wyatt grown up he was evil and had stabbed him, and what with Chris being stabbed, and the whole subconcious guilt and fear thing going on at the time it just makes sense that in his nightmares he night see Wyatt hurting Chris, so I figured I'd share it... It's the only way I could think to explain why he seemed so shocked when they met, and his he keeps Chris away from Wyatt.

Feel free to disagree ubt if you watch that scene you can see he's very wary of Wyatt.

Disclaimer: Don't own charmed... there would be a spinoff about Chris and Wyatt if I did.
