A/N: Hey, guys! I decided to write a drabble for Axel/Demyx day! XD Although, it's more one-sided than a true Axel/Demyx… Sorry about that.

Bittersweet
Demyx didn't know how to express the fact that he loves the fiery red-head who, in fact, is in love with someone else.
Sure, they were roommates, and were best friends until Roxas came along and all of a sudden the blonde took his spot as 'best friend'. Demyx didn't mind Roxas, the kid was nice enough, but a piece of him would always wish he had never come along.
He would always ask Axel if he wanted to go hang out somewhere, just the two of them, but it would either end up with Axel saying he already made plans with Roxas, or they would have to bring Roxas along, with which it would end up with Demyx leaving because he couldn't handle the two flirting with each other all the time.
How do you tell you're 'best friend' that you've loved them since middle school? How do you tell them that when it's obvious they love someone else and that person most definitely returns those feelings? How do you compete with a friendship that replaced your own?
The answer to Demyx was simple.
You can't.
