Disclaimer: I don't own Teen Titans.

I sat in blood. It was not just my blood. It was theirs, too. Mostly theirs. I was beaten a bit but not as much as they were. I guess I could say that I was lucky or fortunate. I was fast enough to dodge most of her attacks. I tried to wipe the blood off of my arm but that did not work for my hands were covered in blood and made my arms dirtier than they were. I heard her laughing at me as I looked at my hands. I looked behind me and saw my friends lying there. I did not know if they were lifeless. I did not know if they continued to breathe. I had a hard time moving myself at this point. I could barely stand. My whole body ached. I could no longer fly. Happiness was not with me.

She stood there with our blood and probably a mix of her own blood. She looked down at me and began to laugh. I looked back up at her. What else was I supposed to do? I looked back down because I did not want her to see the hurt in my eyes. I did not want her to think she defeated me yet. Us.

"I won." She said and grinned at me. It was not the friendly kind of grin. No, it was an evil, sinister one.

"No you did not." I said. Somehow, I got on my feet and continued to fight her. She was strong with her powers. I was only able to use my strength and starbolts. I was only angry and confident. Confident that I would be able to win. Angry at the girl who did the stabbing in the back, both figuratively and literally speaking. I leaped at her and dodged most of her attacks by jumping and flipping. I was surprised, to say the least, that I was able to do this. She was getting weak and tired. Her powers began to fail her. I jumped on top of her and help her down. Her wrists made a sound and cracked under my strength. She struggled, but finally gave in. "Give up." I said to her.

"Never." She replied but she knew that she could not. I spat in her face just to show her that I was controlling the situation now. I also pressed her arms down harder and I broke those too. She screamed as her bones were beginning to crack and bend in places they should not have. "What else can you do to me, Star? Kill me?" I did not notice that my eyes were still glowing until they stopped.

"I cannot." I said, after a minute or so.

"Why not, Starfire?" She sneered. "You have me in the perfect position. I know you can easily punch me in the ribcage and collapse my lungs. You can bash my head into the ground once with your strength, and I'll die.

"You certainly know why…but I feel that…" I did not want to say what I was about to say, so I whispered it, "I must…" I cried as I cut off her airway. Tears began to fall down my face as I saw hers going blue due to lack of oxygen. Her eyes went back to normal, so I released my grip. Maybe I did not have to kill her after all.

"Finish it, Starfire. Please, just kill me!" She yelled at me.

"You know that I cannot…"

"But you have to! Hurry up, Starfire. Please. Before everything comes back." She pleaded. I nodded my head and pressed my hand up against her throat. I saw that her purple eyes looked as if they were saying thank you.

"You are welcome." I whispered and then she died. Those four red eyes will never open again. But neither will her purple ones, the ones that belonged to the Raven that I had become best friends with. Tears slid down my cheeks. I felt raindrops falling onto my head. I looked down at my hands. The blood that was caked onto them began to fall off as the rain fell. The roof was cleansed of the blood that covered it. I looked back up to the sky and hoped that my other friends were still alive.
