A/N: Several people requested a catio so Ninja could join the gang outside. Here you go.
First the kennel appeared on the lanai. Ninja assumed it was for Danny's dog, Bullet, though he felt that was kind of unfair. Bullet had the run of the place when he was there; why did he need a kennel?
Then, wooden posts appeared at each of the four corners and on each side of the door. Boards were run between them, about 2' from the bottom and 2' from the top. Triangular platforms were placed in each corner at each level, the bottom wider than the top. Ninja was confused. What did Bullet need with platforms? That's the kind of thing he would use. Bullet wasn't a climber.
Finally, pillows were strewn across the floor, and a small cat perch with tunnel was placed in the middle. Ninja was instantly on alert. Was Steve getting another cat?
Then Steve picked him up and carried him outside. He opened the door and placed Ninja on the perch. "There you go, boy," he said, "your very own catio."

A/N: We actually have a petzebo built into the house accessible from our sunroom. Ours is much fancier than Ninja's, but it doesn't have the boards and perches in the corners. :( Both cats and one of the dogs love it.
