The city of Paris is known by many names throughout the world. It's the City of Lights, as every night its famous Eiffel Tower shine bright. It's the City of Love, as young couples often go out to enjoy their days, relaxing at its romantic ambiance.
There's another name that Paris is known for after the first day of an academic year, a name freshly given after the city's quick rise from tragedy.
It was in September 1st that the first akuma attack was caused by Hawkmoth. As you know, akuma attacks happen after Hawkmoth sent a butterfly to someone, later causing damage to achieve his goals. It was the first day of Ladybug and Chat Noir, heroes made to counter the threat. It was the first day as they swore to protect Paris from these attacks before a swarm of ladybugs restored everything that the Akuma attack has wrecked.
No one really knows who started to give Paris its new name but everyone who has heard of it can agree that they now live in a City of Miracles.
In less than two months, the hero duo of Paris has protected its citizens from different akuma attacks. From stormy weathers, to rising bubbles, they have protected it well. The citizens of Paris had something to rely on in the rather supernatural state their city has been put into.
It was an unexpected consequence of her plan, but it'll do. With Paris focused on adjusting themselves from the akuma attacks, it means that no one can connect the dots of the Trade-Off.
They almost did in May, only for the man affected to lie to the world that his wife has simply disappeared. That makes it rather easy to know who Hawkmoth is, but she won't take that knowledge for granted. She didn't mean to target his wife like that, but every Trade-Off requires an exchange. Besides, his wife may be bored from spending too much time while she could explore to her world. There's a lot of cool things to see on her home.
She only wanted her friends to see this brand new world. There's such interesting technology that surpassed the likes of her old home. Yet for some inexplicable reason, her friends told her this was dangerous.
Dangerous? Ha! There's no monsters in here. No hordes of undead zombies, no movement of living skeletons and while there's definitely spiders, not many of them are as big as her knees. She already double-checked and there's no reason to doubt her explorer instincts.
She stretched her arms as she glanced at her globe, idly rotating counterclockwise. This globe was special. It was the first thing she found that showed her this world. Ever since coming here and seeing the differences it has from her home, it'd be worth it for her friends. They just haven't seen it yet.
She frowned, lightly curling her silver hair. She hasn't seen one of her friends after the first Trade-Off, a snarky, stubborn man skilled with the sword. Although to be fair, it was her first time dabbling in the Trade-Off. She could surely do better.
Now seems to be the perfect time to do it. It's a fine day. Ash would have loved the new scenery, and her new friend in white has an idea for the one exchanging her place would do well. The eager the other participant, the better.
It's time for the second Trade-Off to begin.

Okay, so this is just a little base for the story. The real plot happens at Chapter 1.
