Thanks again for sticking with me because I thought I would never get a break from college or my family. You all mean the world to me. Thanks for stickin around. Oh! And A-bomb will present his webisodes on EVEN NUMBERED chapters and chapter 1 is a sum up of all four chapters.

For the hundredth time that day Amara contemplated her predicament as that as an unusual anomaly. She twisted her watch absentmindedly and stared out the window of the jet. Below held a vast desert of dry oasis and a small town no one would know existed had it not been for its very large and very green resident.

"Nervous?" Asked the dark-skinned man sitting across from her. She always wondered what caused him to lose his eye, but he never minded her staring so she did so openly.

"Of course not. This is what you trained me for." She looked over her nails to give her something to do as she felt the eye of Nicholas Fury boring into her head.

"You could have said no. I would have chosen-"

"Chosen who?" She glared at him. "You know as well as I do that you made this mission for me and only me. No one else would've done this, so please stop acting like I had any say in the matter."

"You did have a say in the matter. You could have said yes or no." Amara didn't reply and found her water bottle she had been sipping on very interesting. The ride was silent the rest of the journey as they came upon their destination. Out in the distant rest a tower in the vast desert of Vista Verde: Hulk Tower.

The jet made a smooth decent on the landing pad at the very top of the tower. Amara saw him before they landed. He is hard to miss with his stature and color. This is what she trained for, this would be her next mission, this would hopefully help pay the debt she owed to man sitting in front of her.

He hadn't been sleeping very well for that past two months. What happened in that time? Oh, just defeating the Supreme Intelligence along with the Ronan the Accuser. No big deal. Apparently it is a big deal because ever since the defeat, the world did a whole 180 turn on the Hulks. They liked them and rooted for them. Who knew it would take saving the planet to get humanity to like you? Skaar sure didn't, but that wasn't what was bothering him most.

Ever since the fight, he had been having strange dreams he couldn't remember when he woke up, but they left a haunting feeling. Maybe they were about his past or something he ate, but it was starting to worry him. Another thing that happened, his speech and knowledge. Just like over night he was speaking in complete sentences but he didn't notice until A-bomb screamed and everyone was staring at him.

S.H.I.E.L.D.'s doctors did a private scan on him and told him that a part of his brain was unlocked during the battle with the Supreme Intelligence that had been suppressed. This worried Hulk and asked if something similar had happened to the rest of them. The doctor said he didn't know for sure, but if anything different occured they should come back and see him. The only one that was going through changes was Skaar, but he didn't want anyone to worry so he stopped going and played off like everything was fine. He hadn't even told Hulk, but just didn't know how as he had felt he could confide in him.

"Tell me why we need a specialist in the first place? Jen is a great pilot and fixes the ship well. We're practically indestructible…..except when future me showed up with his arm ripped I'm saying is that we're a great team, just the five of us." A-bomb had just chugged the last of the orange juice.

"A-bomb, this wasn't my idea, but I agreed to it because a human with us can help the Hulks with the public. You were human around me before you turned into 'A-bomb' and you weren't going anywhere anytime soon." Hulk had talked to everyone about Fury letting a human be apart of the team. He wasn't too keen on it at first but decided to give it a chance. If the public saw them interacting with a human, then after the whole 'saving the world' blows over they'll have something to fall back on. People changed their minds often, that he knew.

"That's because I knew you wouldn't hurt me and you won't hurt me now…..except that time I used your toothbrush for that thing." Hulk gave him a bored stare. "Hulk, if you think this is a good idea, then I'm with you I've already said this. But their safety isn't what I'm worried about." Hulk sent him a questioning stare with his eyebrow quirked.

"What?! It's a S.H.I.E.L.D. agent. They can take care of themselves. What I'm talking about is that it's a complete stranger coming into our home."

"Skaar was a stranger and we accepted him." Hulk gestured to Skaar and he nodded his acknowledgement. Hulk got up and started walking down the west wing of the tower to head to the elevator. A-bomb followed behind him. "I'll catch up later…." Skaar called after.

"Yeah, but he's a Hulk….and was working with the Leader, need I remind you. Sure, he was brainwashed, sure, it all worked out, but caused us to get sucked into space, we nearly died like several times, and the Earth almost blew up." The door closed in front of them as they ascended.

"Skaat did not do that." Hulk clarified. "Besides you're being a little racist on it just being Hulk's on the team…..What is your point, A-bomb?" Hulk was getting quickly annoyed with this.

"I'M NOT RACIST! I DON'T WANT A NEW TEAMMATE!"

Hulk blinked once. Twice. Thrice. "Is that all? You don't want anyone new? Why?"

"I'm just so used to the five of us and Devil, I don't think we need another person around here. Wouldn't it be too crowded? What if he doesn't like us? Can't we just keep saving people and stuff? What happened to HULK POWER?"

"A-bomb, this isn't permanent. Fury said it'd be a good idea to have a person join us on missions for a short while just to show how we work with others."

"We've had Captain America." Skaar included.

"He a scientifically engineered super soldier." Hulk retorted with a bored expression.

"Thor?"

"He's a God…and survived my punches….."

"Iron-Man?"

"You don't even need to bring that up. I coulda squashed him years ago, but I have my own reasons." The elevator stopped. They had reached the roof.

"I woulda done it buy now with how many times he tried to….."

"A-bomb, focus. We're meeting Fury with the specialist and there is nothing you can do about it. Like it, hate it, I don't care, but guess what? You have to deal with it. Be nice." A-bomb crossed his arms and poked out his bottom lip, obviously upset with the decision.

His pouting ceased when the S.H.I.E.L.D. jet landed on their mountain roof. Director Fury descended the ramp, followed by a young woman behind him. She had long black hair that reached her back and mocha-brown skin.

"What did I…...miss?" Skaar had just arrived from the elevator.

She was just under Fury's height and strode with a purpose towards them. What was most odd about her appearance was her eyes. They shined like an amber-resin and continued to hold Skaar's gaze.

"You didn't tell me she was a SHE!" A-bomb angrily whispered into Hulk's ear.

"Didn't think I had to…"

"Of course you had to! She's frickin hot, man!" A-bomb sent Hulk a glare but soon replaced it with a very bright smile toward the soon to be new resident.

"You better not…" Hulk warned.

"Watch me…"

Her patience was running thin with her companion. "Like I said, you don't have to do this…." Amara stood abruptly and made haste to depart the jet. Fury sighed deeply and followed behind as they descended the ramp. They made there way toward the three of the Hulks. "Hulk. Long time no see…." Fury gestured quite ecstatically.

"Fury. You know there's a reason for that…" Hulk answered less than enthusiastic. Amara sensed this and almost retorted, but thought better of it.

"Would you like to introduce us?" Hulk sent a calming gaze toward Amara, where it was met with an observing one. A slight blush crossed her cheeks as Hulk met her stare unwavering.

"Absolutely. This is Amara. She's one of my best agents and completely under the radar-"

"What a surprise…" A-bomb joked receiving an elbow to the ribs. "OW!" He looked accusingly at Hulk.

"It's fine. Cap' likes to play that same game with me all the time."

"Yeah, but A-bomb is an idiot."

"Hey!" Amara held in a chuckle.

"Anyway, Amara can explain everything you need to hear." He sent a knowing nod and she acknowledged it with the same. "I have to get going and break the news to Stark about one of his crafts being confiscated by me. Again." He took his leave toward the jet.

"Doesn't he have enough money to get it back anyway?" A-bomb shouted.

"Yeah, I just like to fuck with him and make him fill out the paperwork." Fury laughed as the doors closed and the jet lifted into the air and take off. Doing a full u-turn, the jet let out a giant blast as it disappeared past the clouds.

"Why do I feel that man has too much leeway?" Hulk asked.

"Because he does." All eyes were on Amara. A-bomb approached first.

"Well-well-well. It looks like you and I are going to get to know each other better. I'm A-bomb, the most good-looking Hulk anywhere and am willing to do anything to make your stay here A….bomb." He flashed a cheesy grin that almost made her puke, but she swallowed.

"Well, A-bomb you are doing me the tremendous honor. I can tell this will be the start of a unusual partnership and one I might soon regret." A-bomb was so into her appearance, he didn't catch the slight annoyance in her tone.

"The pleasure is all mine, sweetheart." Amara smirked from his oblivious nature. Hulk just laughed which made A-bomb quirk his brow in questioning.

"Please pay no attention to him. He has a tendency to block out all common sense…" Hulk held out his colossal hand to her and she properly accepted with her vastly smaller hand. "It's a pleasure to meet you. I hope your stay here will be as close to pleasant as humanly possible after you deal with this bunch."

"It's nice to meet you, Hulk. I'm sure I can manage your group. From your webisodes, you'd be surprised at how often I deal with people at S.H.I.E.L.D. with same mannerisms." They broke hands and smiled with warm companionship. Maybe this wouldn't be so bad after all. Amara certainly wasn't used to being around other agents, so maybe a change in atmosphere would do her some good. For the better…

"So he gets a handshake and I don't?" A-bomb interjected.

"He didn't try to hit on me. And so strongly I might add."

"Touché. But how can I not. You're like a model." A-bomb placed his fingers in a camera motion with Amara in the center.

"Well, that just proves how hard of a time I'm going to have here." She gave a sly cheeky smile that caused A-bomb to blush as he noticed the slight dimple in her cheeks. "I've been meaning to ask though." She pointed to Skaar, who was still staring at her from just a few feet away. He hadn't said anything since she got here and she had noticed the entire time thinking he was either shy or would talk when he felt like it.

"Skaar? Skaar?" A-bomb snapped his fingers in front of him and like magic, his eyes fluttered as he came out of his daze.

"Huh? What? What happened?!" He hand flung to the hilt of his sword.

"Chill, bro. You been spacing out for a while there. What happened to you?"

"I-I….w-when did Patchy leave?" He scratched the back of his head nervously as his eyes met Amara's and quickly looked to Hulk.

"Ooooookay. That answers that question. Don't worry. He tends to space out during important situations such as this. Just learn to tune him out and you'll be right as rain." A-bomb suggested with a clever smile.

"I think I need to apply that same strategy to you…"

"Ugh! Your word hit here, madam." A-bomb dramatically threw his hand over his heart.

"Mission accomplished."

"Anyway….. Skaar, this is Amara. She'll be staying with us for a while."

"Oh, um, hi?"

"Hello. Sorry about that. Nice to meet you…." Amara held out her hand but Skaar just continued to rant.

"You….nice-I mean, nice you meet-I meant, you're nice to see-NICE TO ME….MEET….YOU!" The others just stared and blinked in surprise. Skaar blushed a bright red from the sudden attention and felt embarrassed for the very first time ever. He never cared what others thought of him and his actions, but that was different with Amara. He didn't like it at all and it was starting get on his nerves. "Um, hi?"

A bubble of feminine laughter made his heart damn near stop and start again. "That was interesting. You always go for the fumbling approach?"

"If by fumbling, you mean babbling buffoon, then yes. OW! STOP!"

"I'm doing because you need to stop. And I kinda like doing it" Hulk smiles cheekily.

"I'm not some dog." A-bomb smiles cheekily. "That's what we have Skaar for."

"Then why are you the one always chasing tail?…" Hulk bellowed with laughter at Skaar's quick remark.

"I do not chase tail. I simply….um.." He suddenly felt very conscious about his next words since they were regarding the newest member of the team.

"No, continue. I want to here you come up with another heinous remark about women." She scoffed.

"Well, if you really wanna know, how about we discuss it over dinner?" His confidence was not very warming to her. In fact, it was rather irritating.

"I think I can find something else worth my attention." She spoke bluntly and made Hulk snicker. A-bomb sent him a menacing glare.

"I'll grow on you. Trust me."

"Then I will have to develop an ointment to get rid of you." Skaar held back a chuckle.

"Ah, she has a sense of humor. Well, that my dear, is highly unlikely. The Bomb-master will always find a way into ladies hearts. Whether it be the muscles or this chiseled face, they always come running back." A-bomb, with his new found confidence, strode over to Amara and bent down to her level, face-to-face. "Don't worry, I'll play nice…"

Amara smirked. A-bomb took his as a good sign until she grabbed his arm, she raised it over her head and raised her right foot forward to kick into his left shin. With his balance lost and falling forward, it was inevitable he would fall on her. Hulk and Skaar was about to rush to her aid, but stopped from the sight. She used the momentum with her foot on his stomach and practically flipped him over her head, landing with a loud thud, making a small dust cloud encircle is fallen form.

"What….the FUCK...just happened?!" A-bomb said from the ground. His vision of the Sun being blocked by Amara standing over him. Her hair flowed around her like a halo as she poked A-bomb's forehead.

"You….can play nice, but I won't." She stood and addresses Hulk, who was still trying to process the situation at hand. "How about we head inside. This heat is killing me. I can explain my position better when I cool down and meet the rest of the team." She dusted her sleeves on her jacket and adjusted her shirt. She walked cooly toward the elevator and looked back. "You guys look like you've seen Fury on a bad day. Come on."

Seeming to snap out of his gaze, Skaar took a quick jog over to Amara as A-bomb was sitting up. "You're a mutant aren't you?!" A-bomb asked.

"That's for me to know and you to never find out." She winked and once again, Skaar was certainly intrigued. He'd have to know more about this girl. What made her so strong and what made her her, and why she made his heart literally start all over again. He needed to discover this feeling before it got out of hand or more accurately, out of his hands.

"You aren't gonna be staring at me all day are you?" Skaar flinched.

"Um….no...I-I'm not…." She chuckled. She stepped into the elevator, but Skaar hesitated. With a smile, Amara waved him in along beside her. With the machine only able to fit two hulk's at a time, with Amara's small size, she was pressed against Skaar by just the slightest. This made him stand perfectly still and almost forget to breathe.

"I know you don't mean any harm. I've seen your statistic about what happened to you after your battle with the Supreme Intelligence. You seem to be in your own little world half the time and I envy that about you, really. I just understand what it's like to endure a different environment." She looked away from him and just made her acquaintance with the glass wall. Skaar never replied and he felt it should stay that way. Amara was a walking contradiction and he was a walking mystery, but that made them unique. They just didn't know how unique they could be alongside one another. Not yet.

"Seriously? How did she do that? There is no way anyone could do that AND be normal!" A-bomb kept coming up with different possibilities about what other things Amara could do or some other unrelated things about her.

"I'm sure it isn't anything major. S.H.I.E.L.D. has been know to hire mutants, so can't you just leave it at that?" Hulk rubbed his temples with all the probabilities there could be as to how Amara did what she did.

"No way! I am getting to the bottom of this and when I do, it's gonna hit the roof with our fans!"

"You need to control yourself. When I say that, I mean you need to pull in the reins and back off Amara." The elevator reascended and Hulk and A-bomb boarded. "I don't know where this is coming from, but I have never seen you this invested in a woman before."

"What? So I've got a little crush on her. That isn't the same with every woman…." Hulk gave him an incredulous look that asked 'are you serious?'. He sighed heavily. "Hulk, I haven't had that much luck in the 'love' department lately, alright? Plus, Jen is like a older sister to me, so Amara being on the team is a huge bonus."

"What happened with Crystal?"

"The Human Torch. That's what happened." The vehemence in his voice was all too evident and Hulk felt a bit of pity for his companion.

"Rick. You have to let that go. If you want to get to know Amara better, then let time handle it. The way you handled the situation made you seem kinda desperate."

"God! It did didn't it? I'm so pathetic…." He cradled his head in his hands.

"Well, that can't be fixed, but…."

"Hulk!" A-bomb nudged him with his elbow. The smile Hulk anticipated showed on his rocked lips.

"See, you just need to have patients or else you'll regret it….."

"Yeah. You're right. Thanks, Hulk. But she is so strong..."

Town

Gamma Burger

"So yer saying ya regret it?"

"Ugh! Not now, Red…"

They had gone into town to pick up groceries and with a promise to stop at Gamma Burger for snack before heading back to hulkquarters. No sooner had they sat down to eat, a certain subject that a certain She-Hulk had been trying to avoid had found its way into the conversation. After the defeat of the Supreme Intelligence, a certain billionaire decided to through a celebratory party in Central Park in the Hulks honor. Laughs and food were to be shared and also a few drinks as well. Which happened to cause two Hulks to wake up the next morning wrapped in each others arms.

She had been wanting to avoid the subject for two months, but Red was persistent for reasons she didn't know. She knew they had developed sexual tension over the years and both of them knew but never acknowledged it. She was a little ashamed of the act considering it was with a friend, but at the same time it was something she fantasized all too often.

"When are we gonna talk about this? I've been trying to talk to ya for two months. You and I both know what happened and yer just runnin away from it." The gruffness in his voice noted he was obviously pissed. It was one of the things that drove her crazy.

"I'M NOT RUNNING!" After receiving some stares from the other customers, She-Hulk slumped back in her seat across from Red and crossed her arms. "We have nothing to discuss. As far as we both know, nothing happened, and that's how it should stay. Don't make scene." She replied in a hushed tone.

"Yer the one makin the scene. I know that we were both completely aware of what the hell happened. You can just come out and say it….you regret it. Doesn't hurt my feelings…."

'Yes….it does….'

He shook his head from sudden dizziness and focused back on She-Hulk.

"Right because you have no feelings. And if you don't care, why are you pestering me about this? What makes you thinks I'm going to talk about it now after all this time?"

"I do care, I'm just trying to talk to ya, Shulky. We're both adults and should be able to talk about this. But, no. You wanna avoid the situation by actin like a damn kid. The fact is that ya should be able to talk about it and that's what's worrying me."

"You know what? Let's talk about how you are a complete asshole, how you challenged me to a drink off, and how you thought it was so smart to lead me to my own room…." She spat and glared out the window.

"Hey, you were the one who chugged first. Ain't like I handed ya a drink to pay ya out. You were the one who insisted we go to your room…." Red whispered the last part so that everyone in the restaurant would stop straining to hear what they were discussing. "And as far as I do know, you and me both know that this was coming for a long time."

She-Hulk froze and chose her next words carefully. "I have no idea what you're talking about. You know doing that makes it worse. People will think we have something to hide." She rubbed her brow frustrated. She knew he was right, but she didn't want him to be. It was just a one-night stand, why was he so persistent to bring it back up?

"Ta hell what they think. You know damn well what I'm talking about, She-Hulk. Yer a grown ass woman, you should be able to talk about this."

'Patiences…'

Now it was a numbing sensation that lingered far longer than it should. But still he shook it off and regained the topic before he forgot.

"We wouldn't need to talk about it if someone just took it as it really was…." She was no longer looking at him and poked at the fries that were now cold from having being distracted by a certain hothead.

"And what would that be, Shulk?" He quirked a brow in confusion.

She stood, gripping the edge of the table and leaned into his face with her face twisted in disgust. "A one-nighter…" She seethed. With that she forcibly pushed the table forward and stormed out of the restaurant. Red was speechless. He hadn't expected her to react this way about it. He had given her time to think things through and gave her space, but even after she wouldn't talk to him on missions or even when they walked past each other. He kept it casual as not to draw attention from the team, but this was getting more personal than he thought. There was no way she was okay. What pissed him off…..she wasn't telling him shit about it.

"ARGGHH! BULLSHIT!" In a rage, he flipped the table, spilling their order.

'After her….."

He obliged. "Greenie's gonna pay for that." He stormed out after She-Hulk, leaving a group of shocked and confused customers.

"Uh...sure thing….Red…." Herb mumbled. Now full well to expect any possible outcome from their giant heroes.

If he thinks that he's gonna have her talk about this, he is poorly mistaken! During her anger, she ended up uprooting a tree and hurled it out of town. Making anyone in near proximity turn in the opposite direction. I can't believe he wants to make me relive it all over again?! It happened, it was inevitable, and it probably will never happen again. Why do I want it to?!

"SHE-HULK!" She stopped in her tracks from the obvious explosion of a voice. Looking around, her red target was nowhere in sight until, she saw her own shadow grow bigger. Her eyes widened as she jumped back at the last minute before Red-Hulk dropped from the sky and landed with a quake that shook the town. Passersby had to hold onto their surrounding, but others weren't as lucky and landed on the hard ground.

"RED! ARE YOU CRAZY?! YOU COULD HAVE SQUASHED ME!"

"You woulda bounced back."

"Yeah, just like you bounced back two months ago." She spat and continued to walk past him.

'Get her alone…'

He obeyed."Aright…."

"Hey! Wha-!" Red hoisted her up and flung her on his shoulder. "Oh, hell no! Put me down, Red!"

"Yeah. Sure. Nothin to see here folks. Just a little tussle. Hup-!" With a quick step and hop, he was high in the air with She-Hulk in tow, as they flew over the vast desert.

"RehhhhHHHHHDDDDDDD!" She clung to his back in a fit of fear. It wasn't the height that worried her, it was the fact someone was carrying her and could likely drop her from said height.

"Yer gonna listen, whether you like it or not! No more bullshit!" Their altitude decreased and Red landed less gracefully as before, dropping She-Hulk and tripping up himself in the sand.

"Ugh! This how you gonna get me to listen? Making me eat sand?" She groaned from the sand bed she landed in. She knew this was coming.

"Nah, but I needed to get ya alone. That's been the problem, we're never alone." He dusted himself off and started towards She-Hulk.

"Cagghh! Stay away from me! I have nothing to say."

"I don't know what you think happened those two months ago, but I didn't take advantage of ya. Ya gave me yer consent and even if you hadn't, I wouldn't have messed wit ya and you know it. I'm not that type of Hulk." His gaze softened as he saw She-Hulk avert her gaze once again and just sat in the sand.

Out of her own spirit, she looked back at Red, offering a hand. With much reluctance, she took it and was thrown against his chest with great force.

"Hey-uh!?" She was thrown by the soft look in his eyes and sudden warmth from his chest. This brought back memories, of a heated moment and a desperate urge. She tried to push away from him, but he held her close to him with a hand wrapped around her wrist and the other at the small of her back. "Red…."

"Did ya never consider my feelings? How I felt when I woke up and you were gone? Have me thinking it was something I did wrong?" No, she hadn't considered how he felt on the matter and considered it as something they both knew how to deal with. Her judgement was clouded with his breath fanning her cheek and the strong embrace. Just what was it that she was supposed to admit? She knew he wasn't heartless, but just didn't know how deep his feeling ran. "I didn't think of it as a 'one-nighter.' I thought of it…..as a start. I know the kinda person I might seem like, but I ain't one to leave the covers tossed."

'Yes...she can feel your sorrow….'

She was overcome with a wave of sadness and her heart broke for him. She felt like it was the weight of the world that succumbed her to guilt. She was completely lost in his white on black depths that always mesmerized her. She was both scared and excited and that's how he affected her, especially that night, but she thought he was just caught in the heat of the moment and that's how it would stay. Obviously, she was wrong. She had other one-nighters before and they had left on mutual terms, but Red was different. They saw each other every day, they were teammates, they were friends! Which was something that She-Hulk had to get used to, but somehow this firecracker snaked his way into her heart and made a home without even knowing. What shocked her even more was that she had to admit that she was hoping for it….just not the way it happened.

"I-I didn't t-think you'd…"

"Feel the same? Look, I admit I'm a hothead and get carried away and if you tell anyone I said this I will deny it completely." She chuckled, lifting the weight off his shoulders, but only a little. "But ya have grown on me over the years, I just thought you had higher standards…"

"You are like 30 years my senior…." She mumbled, not making much of an argument.

"Didn' think that crap mattered to ya, considering the tension between us both. Listen, these two months have given me a chance to rethink our situation. I've got a lotta regrets, one of them being what I caused Hulk all those years, and the other being for hiding what I feel for ya."

'Open yourself….'

"Red…..why are you doing this? How are you doing this?" She tried to push away from his chest. "We don't do stuff like this. I don't do stuff like this. We're just too different. It would never work." Her voice was just above a whisper. She was breaking and Red was the last person she wanted to see her like this.

"Trust me, I thought the same. But…"

"Red….this isn't you. I don't even recognize you right now. This can't be what you want " She warned, letting her full strength rise as she tried harder to push away.

"What? Ya sayin I ain't allowed to tell ya how I feel?! Somethins gotta be wrong wit me for me to act this way?!" He was obviously upset. He tries to wear his heart of his sleeve for her and she can't even believe his own words.

She snatched herself away from him and kept her distance.

"When the hell did you become so sensible? You never showed any interest before and I didn't think you were one for the relationship type….. This is some kinda….new you." He was about to scream in her face, but something deep within him, something foreign, whispered.

'Relax...she means well….just tell her….calmly~'

He took a deep breath and exhaled. His let his anger dissipate and focused on the soothing voice that lingered. He focused on She-Hulk. "Well, let's just say a Hulk can change, especially when they have ta deal with yer rough ass."

"Oh that is-mmph! Mhm hmmm~!" He gripped her hair and snatched her head back pulling her into a passionate kiss. She still tried to resist with much reluctance, but ultimately gave in and snaked her arms around his neck, deepening the kiss. Red growled in acceptance as she advanced and practically jumped in his arms with her legs wrapped around his hips. They lightly broke the kiss and basked in the essence of how different it was from their very first.

Rushed, now patient. Lust filled, now heartwarming. Both breathtaking.

"What happened to you?..." She felt calm, even after before. Her anger turned to lust and her annoyance sustained, she was feeling all her negativity leave her and focus on Red and the sudden heat radiating off him.

"Don't know….but it's probably for the better…" He cradled her cheek in his colossal hand and stroked the smooth skin with his thumb. He leaned for another kiss, but She-Hulk hesitated.

"Hm….Red, I-"

BUZZ!BUZZ!BUZZ!BUZZ! Whatever trance they were in, it had disappeared. Red wasn't too pleased with the sudden distraction.

"People better be damn dying…." He growled.

"Shhhh….. It's Hulk. It could be important."

"Get rid of him…." He emphasized. He obviously wasn't done with their conversation, but She-Hulk was secretly happy with the chance to calm her racing heart.

She-Hulk stepped a ways away from Red and answered her receiver on her watch. A small image of Hulk appeared. "What's up, Hulk?"

"What happened to you? You have sand in your hair…"

"Oh...um...just the wind, I guess." She tried her best to get what she could out without acting suspicious. "Anyway, what's up?"

"You need to come home. The specialist Fury sent is here."

"Oh? I forgot. Lost track of time." She-Hulk looked over accusingly at Red for having to drag them out to the deserted desert. Her cheeks dusted a hard pink from his hard stare that practically burned her skin.

"You okay, Jen? You still there?" She had almost forgot Hulk was there.

"Uh, yeah. We'll be right there, Hulk. See ya." She quickly disconnected the call and watched Hulk disappear. "I need time…"

He sighed deeply. "Whelp. I waited two months, guess I can wait a little longer."

She raked her fingers through her wild hair, frustrated. "You don't have to wait for me. I might not even have an answer for you..."

"Then….I guess I'll wait for as long as it takes." He smirked at her shocked expression.

'She will come…..we shall wait…'

"Let's head back to the truck…." With that, Red took a giant leap and stomped the ground, causing him to be launched back toward the town. She-Hulk looked out after him before following, shedding a tear that did not belong to her.

'This change…..is for the better…. I promise….'

Lab

Hulkquarters

"Hey, are they on their way?"

"I think so. They lost track of time and I think they might be even later like always."

"Hulk. If you don't mind, I'd like to get started with the tests." They had been in the lab for the past twenty minutes with Amara explaining her position on the team. She sat at the main controls of the hulk computer and was typing keys at an unspeakable speed.

"I can watch you work all day." A-bomb feigned.

She had been feigning annoyance at A-bomb's advances and continued her conversation with Skaar. "As I was saying, I'm suspecting the Leader definitely had something to do with the suppression of your brain, just another piece of you he could control. It makes for a better subject to be submissive and leave a nerve impression on the victim. Now as to how it resubmerged, I'm guessing during the electric surge you all received from the Supreme Intelligence, it somehow unlocked the hippocampus of your brain."

She stopped typing when Skaar didn't respond and turned to him. She was met with a very confused Skaar, obviously not understand the extent of her explanation. "That means when you were electrocuted, it unlocked your memories as if they never were locked."

"Ooooh. That makes sense."

"That's why it feels as if your speech never changed. This is how you spoke long before what the Leader did to you."

"Damn. Are you saying we could've zapped him and he would've remembered how to talk correctly?"

"It isn't that simple."

"What I wanna know is if this caused something to be unlocked in Skaar, then is the same gonna happen to all of us?" Hulk asked.

"It's a possibility, but not much of one. I can see where your concern lies, Hulk, but Skaar's situation and yours are completely different. His brain was tampered with by force without his consent, you on the other hand, have a different possibility."

"We'll talk about that later. I'm glad with what you told me, Amara."

"No problem."

"How'd you get so smart?" Skaar asked.

"I studied since I was little and never stopped. I owe it to Director Fury for where I am today."

"Being a S.H.I.E.L.D. agent?" A-bomb quipped.

"No. Being a genius." She smirked and went back to typing on the keyboard. "Alright, Hulks! Gather in the center of the room so we can start your 'check-up'."

"Check-up? What are you a doctor?"

"Yes, actually. Center of the room, please." Without any further instruction, Skaar hopped off the desk and made his way down the small set of stairs and to the middle of the room with Hulk and A-bomb. "That's great guys." She continued to type away at the screen.

"You haven't even looked back!" Amara pressed a button off the side panel and let a layout of the room appear on the screen with four heat signatures: three in the middle of the room and one of to the far right. "Oh…"

"Did Fury give you the blueprints to the base? You sure know a lot about it." It made Hulk somewhat suspicious. He felt he could trust Amara, but not yet. Fury did assign her specifically to them, so there was still that.

"Actually, this base was one of my earliest designs. So I know every nook and cranny."

"You! Designed the hulk base?! That's impossible!"

"Why is it impossible, A-bomb?" She held a warning at the tip of her stare that made A-bomb be wiser about his next choice in words.

"Be...cause! Because, because, because…."

"I think it's really awesome…." Skaar said quietly.

Amara smiled and shook off her annoyance. "Thank you, Skaar. His heartbeat a little bit faster and gave a shy smile back and drew his gaze somewhere else. Hulk noticed the slight blush on his face and the way he scratched his cheek as if finding something to do. It was actually cute and Hulk could not wait to see this play out.

"Alright everyone, stand perfectly still and take in a deep breath for me." Amara spun in her chair and stood with a small glass pad in her hand. She jumped the staircase and made her way to the center of the room with the Hulks. She tapped on her pad and lit up with calculations zooming past her eyes.

"What's that?"

"Why do you ask so many questions?" The annoyance was back.

"Well, am I supposed to get to know you if I don't ask questions?" He sent her a smirk.

"I don't answer questions from the senile. Hold your breathe." She tapped her pad.

"What does that have ta- AAHHHHHH!" A light beam was shot from her clear pad into the Hulks.

"What happened to A-bomb?!"

"He didn't hold his breath. The beam won't affect you if you hold your breath, but since he didn't he received a shock to his system from the inside. He'll be fine, but I have to take the test again." He was sprawled out on the floor of the lab and groaning in pain. "Later, though."

Hulk and Skaar hooked their arms under him and dragged him to the lab table. "The effects will wear off in an hour or so."

"That is so funny…"

"Skaar."

"What? It is! Imma get me a sandwich. You coming, Hulk, Amara?"

"You know what? I will. I haven't had a sandwich in a while." Amara set down her clear pad and followed Skaar to the elevator.

"Are you serious?! What have you been eating all this time?!"

"Mostly vegetables and fruits, or whatever S.H.I.E.L.D. has in stock."

"How about I make you a meat lovers sandwich? Ham, bacon, turkey, sausage, you'll love it."

"Alright. I'm trusting you, okay?"

"You have my word as a Hulk." They smiled to each other and ascended into the elevator. Leaving Hulk and A-bomb in the lab.

"Uuuggghhhhh….."

"Hello, ugly."

"W-What…...happe...ned….?" He placed his hand on his head.

"You…. didn't hold your breath."

Cough "Think she's playing hard to get?" He wheezed.

Hulk looked back at the elevator, remembering how comfortable Skaar and Amara were together and then looked back to the sad state A-bomb was in. "Like a pro."Whack!

"OW!"

Kitchen

1 o'clock in the PM

"This is amazing!"

"Huh? Oh! Yeah, it's great!" Skaar had never moved so fast in his life, not to mention the nerves crawling up his spine while Amara watched his every move. After making her sandwich, he started on his, but while taking his time. She even offered to wait until he was done making his to start eating and he politely declined. The moment he looked down and back up again, she was half way through her foot long sandwich. At that moment, Skaar realized that someone who could put away food like he did, was okay in his book.

He subconsciously took a bit of his sandwich and watched Amara as they sat in comfortable silence eating their sandwiches. "Thanks...I mean for earlier. You really cleared up a lot of things for me."

She a bit of her sandwich. "No problem. I'm just doing my job." He was wondering if he should tell her about not being able to remember any of his dreams the moment he wakes up, but was soon interrupted by a different presence.

"Hulk? Oh, Skaar, it's you."

"Hey, Jen." She came fully around the corner along with Red and approached the table.

"Pleased to meet you. I'm Amara, assigned S.H.I.E.L.D. agent by Director Fury." She stood and wiped her hands on a cloth and approached She-Hulk.

"It's nice to meet you, too." They shook hands.

"Whoa, whoa, whoa! Fury….sent us a kid?"

"Red…" She-Hulk warned.

"How old are ya, shortie?" Red ignored her.

"I'm 19 years old."

"Ya gotta be kidding me. A fucking kid?! Fury must be playing a joke…."

"Whether you think it's a joke or not, I will be here to assist the Hulks in any way I can. Just because I'm younger than you doesn't mean I haven't had the same type of experience you have had in the battle field."

"Oh yeah, like what, shortie?" Red glared. He didn't like this one bit. He was already in a rough spot with She-Hulk and now he had to deal with another female in the mix. Fuck you, Fury.

Fear. Sadness. Death. Blood. Blood. Blood.

"...If you don't mind, there are more pressing matters to deal with. If you two would meet me in the lab, I can take a scan of you."

"What kind of scan?" She-Hulk was thrilled. Another woman on the team meant she didn't have to be surrounded by testosterone on wheels 24/7. It was also a plus to distract her from Red and God, did she need a distraction.

"I will take an internal scan of you and it will tell me your health, metabolism, and expected life span, etc. It will only take 5 seconds." Amara had captured She-Hulk in the talk of her experience in technology and even fighting as well. She could tell that they would become good potential friends. Everyone needs one of those after all. They were making their way towards the lab, leaving Skaar and Red. Skaar's attitude had changed rather quickly since Jen and Red showed up. His smile vanished and focused on soley finishing his sandwich.

"Is this chick foreal?" Red asked.

"She tossed A-bomb like a rag." Munch…

"...Mutant?"

"Dunno…." Skaar continued to eat alone and soon downed the rest of his food. Standing to go to the fridge, he pulled ou bottle of orange soda, popped the cap and chugged and walked at the same time to his room.

"Ugh. Fuck it." Spinning on his heel, he made his way down the hall in the same direction the women took, and headed for the lab.

Night

Amara's Room

"No, it wasn't that big. They think I'm a mutant." She answered the receiver within her watch.

"Next time don't get so carried away. You could blow your cover." The voice replied.

"I'll be more careful. I promise. But if he touches my ass, I'm throwing him off the base." One side of her lips quirked. The voice chuckled.

"Alright, that's fair….. Did you take your monthly dosage?"

"I was just about to. I'll be fine…."

"I know you will. Take care of yourself."

"See you in a month…"

"Goodnight, Amara…"

"Goodnight, Sir." The com went off on her watch, making her room almost pitch black, but she didn't need the light. She stood from her bed and peeled her tank top off as she walked over to her closet. She grabbed a t-shirt, shorts, and a black case from her bag and shut the door. Getting dressed in her night clothes, she plopped down on her bed from sudden exhaustion and quickly opened the black case.

The room was lit once again, but from the green glow of vials within the case. There were five vials in a row and on the opposite side lay five syringes. Wiping her upper thigh with an alcohol swab, she took on the of the vials and a syringe, drawing every last drop from it she could. Pinching her thigh, she injected herself with the bright green liquid without stopping. She inhaled deeply and closed her eyes. Opening her eyes once more, they shone a bright familiar green, one would think haunting. She put the syringe in a plastic bag and threw it in the trash bin in her room and packed her vials back in her bag. Not bothering with the covers, she lay in the bed overcome by sleep, and the strength of 20 men within her.

Five months and she was out of here, she thought. She just hoped that everything went according to plan. She wanted to prove her worth to her superior and herself. If this was the only way to do it, then she would take every step with her head high.

Oh my lord. How did you like it? I'm actually satisfied with how I'm writing this now. I hope you understand why I took a different route with this and hope you like the result. Next chapter will be in as soon as it can.
