Kairi- Alone, no parents

A/N: Ok, so this is my first story!! Please forgive me if it isn't good, I started this one a few months ago and thought I should put it out there. So, please take it easy, and if it sucks winces just tell me in a nice way. I don't need more stress in my life right now.

"Kai, honey, there was a reason we took you out tonight."Kairi heard her father's voice

from the driver's seat. He shifted his head to look into his mirror, looking at her." We

wanted to talk to you about what been going on. We're worried, honey." His voice faded

to a whisper at the end of the sentence, but that didn't stop her from hearing him. She

turned her head sharply," Whats it matter to you? You're always too busy with your work

to care." How dare he ask! All they'd both been doing these last few months was work.

She hardly ever saw them anymore. She had felt rejected, and she started slipping away

from home more often, hanging out with her "friends". She knew they weren't the best

people, they smoked, and stole. But she had never joined in their activities, at least, not

until a week ago. It had been her first time smoking, and when she stumbled home,

smelling of cigarettes, her father had flown into a rage. She knew something was wrong

all

night, it wasn't like her parents to spend time with her, let alone after doing something

very bad. Her mother's voice pulled her out of her thoughts, "We are just trying to help.

Hun, those friends you have, they're a bad influence. You'll get hurt, and we don't want

that to happen." All of her fury that had been bottled up these past few months, suddenly

exploded.

"Shut up!! Just SHUT UP!!"

"Kairi!! Don't talk to your mother that way! She's trying to help!" Suddenly, she saw a

huge truck appear in front of the car, it's lights blinding her. Kairi felt a jolt, then the

lurching of the car as it

flipped, glass shattering and cutting her face and arms. She was thrusted forward, and

slammed her head on the seat. She felt a warm wetness spilling forward and a searing

pain in her forehead. The last thing she heard was a scream…….

Kairi woke up, and sat up, heaving her breaths. Her forehead was drenched in sweat, her hair tangled. That was the third time this month she'd had the dream. It had been her fault, all hers. She sobbed, pulling her knees up to her chest. She hated reliving that night, the night when her parents were taken away from her. And every time, she woke up to an empty house, for she was the only occupant. Nobody knew that she lived alone, no family, no guardians. She heaved herself up out of bed, going to take a shower. She didn't feel like going out any where, particularly the place she knew she was going to today. But, she had to go. Even though it was the last place she wanted to be. School.

A/N: So? What do you think? Please review, I could use some ideas!!
