Where'd You Go?

Hayase buried her face on her hands in frustration, her tears flowing angrily from her bloodshot eyes. She cried and cried, her quivering sobs filling the empty space that was once her room in the Uchiha Stronghold. Hayase wiped her tears away and stood up from her position. She grabbed her satchel and sat on the ledge of her window. She glanced down at her concealed bump and rubbed it tenderly, smiling at the image of her soon-to-be child running around in glee.

But those images were crushed by the hands of the Uchiha Council members.

Hayase grimaced, clutching her satchel tightly. She leaped out of her window and landed with a soft thud. She used the best of her abilities to sneak out of the Stronghold and surprisingly, was successful. She walked straight ahead until a few minutes later she stopped in the midst of her trek and turned, staring at her 'home' for a few, long moments before resuming her journey to nowhere, her silhouette dissolving into the depths of the starless night.

"Madara-sama!"

Madara looked up from his pile of scrolls, glaring menacingly at the messenger who barged into his office without a knock or some sort. The messenger flinched and shakily walked up to him.

"Hayase vanished."

Madara shot up from his seat and stomped towards her room in the women's sleeping quarters. He slammed her door open and saw that it was vacant; the messenger was right.

He began searching the room, in hopes that Hayase left something behind. Madara rummaged through her room for Kami knows how long before finding a small scroll and a bracelet placed neatly in one of her drawers. He picked both the items up and stared at the bracelet he'd given her so long ago. He put the bracelet in his pocket, his hand fisting the object firmly.

"Nii-san," Madara didn't even turn to face Izuna, which surprised the man leaning against the door frame.

Izuna walked up to him and gently placed a hand on his broad shoulder. He noticed the scroll in Madara's hand and nudged him, indicating that he wanted him to read it. Madara took the edge of the scripture and slowly rolling it out. He read the contents before dropping the scroll and throwing the mahogany drawer to the wall, smashing it into pieces. Madara sauntered out of the room without a word, leaving Izuna in Hayase's room.

Izuna picked up the scroll and decided to see the contents of the parchment. He too, dropped the scroll but instead of it being anger, it was shock. 'You idiot Hayase,' Izuna thought before leaving her room.

"Forgive me, Madara-sama…"
