After Huntress had saved her and the rest of the Justice Leaguers, Black Canary knew that her relationship with Huntress had to change. She understood why Helena turned down the invite to rejoin the JL: why bother with an organization where you are going to be under the microscope versus doing your own thing? But Dinah saw something in Helena, that spark that was required for anyone who wanted to be a cape, and it called to the same spark within her. That's why Black Canary started pairing up with Huntress on her rounds through Gotham, helping to temper her anger and showing her what friendship was like. And then, when Oracle came calling, it wasn't hard to bring Huntress in with her.
