Alternatively, write about someone fighting his/her own nature to be with someone he/she loves.
They fight it. They hide it. They cherish it. They deny it. They are afraid of losing it. But when it is true love, nothing can break it.
Because their love is almost forbidden.
Almost Forbidden
"I'm not good enough for you," he pleaded.
"You are." She wanted him to understand so badly.
"No, I'm not. Let's face it, I'm a monster. And I don't deserve this!" he growled.
He was so frustrated. Why didn't she understand? He was not someone who could love and definitely not someone who could be loved back. It was impossible for him to not falter in his decision when she was crossing all limits.
He felt hopeless when he stared into her determined eyes, and diverted his gaze. Deep in his heart, he knew that he wanted her to accept him. Love him so that he could love her back. But he was putting up a fight; he wanted to suppress the irrational feelings.
She couldn't understand why he was being so difficult. So, he was a lot older than her, but, she didn't care. He was different and it didn't matter to her. According to him he was a monster, but that definitely didn't the way she felt about him because to her he was far from one. That was one of the reasons why she loved him. He was forced to be different, but he fought his nature to be good.
To be human…
She was in love with this man and nothing he did or said could ever change that. Even now when he was trying to persuade her to leave things as they were, she knew he was trying to be moral. Silly man, didn't he understand that love is unchangeable?
"I know you love me too, Remus! Look me in the eye and tell me you don't and I won't bother you ever," she stated. Her heart pounded against her ribs. It was a huge risk she was taking. But in spite of her fear, she knew that it was high time they came to a decision.
He looked into her eyes again, his eyes softened a bit. She was so beautiful. Every part of him wanted to make her his, but, he knew he couldn't.
"I-I-I don't love you," he stammered and looked down half-way.
"I believe you're lying… You didn't look at me when you said that," she whispered, feeling victorious. He did love her.
"I can't!" he exclaimed exasperatedly. Those words were music to her ears. He had practically admitted his love for her.
Yes, he loved her! He loved her immensely and wanted her to be his. He had never felt this way toward anyone and here was this young, fun-loving woman telling him that she loved him back. The fact that she was far more interesting than him made it all more surreal. It was like a dream come true. But it was one thing for him to desire her, for her to want him too… Well, he had never thought of that.
"I'm a monster… You should be scared of me," he whispered.
"Monsters don't scare me, Remus. They never have and they never will." She stood on her toes and reached to kiss him. When her lips touched his, he froze for a moment, and then responded passionately. For the first time in a very long time, he felt happy… And for the first time he was in love. He knew he would remain until his last dying breath.
She knew that he would be the one who she would love forever, and nothing in the world was going to change that.
A/N: What do you think of it? Tonks and Lupin are one of my favorite couples! I simply adore them. Having a huge age gap or he being a werewolf doesn't hinder her love for him, that's definitely true.
