Welcome to ひぐらしのなく頃に力 (Higurashi No Naku Koro Ni Ryoku, also known as Higurashi When They Cry Powers). This fanfiction is based off of Higurashi and contains arcs written by me.
The first arc is Karoshi-hen. (translating to 'death of overwork'). I decided to have Satoko play the role of victim (like the anime-exclusive arc in the second season) and Mion the villain. Shion and Rena play important parts in this arc.
The second arc is Oshibana-hen (translating to 'pressed flowers' or 'materials from flowers'). Shion is the victim and Rena plays the part of villain. Rika and Keiichi play the important roles
The third arc is Shoushitsu-hen (translating to 'disappear'). It explores the subject of dying/disappearing under Oyashiro's curse more. It plays out like Watanagashi-hen but the plot is different.
The fourth arc is Hatsukoi-hen (translating to 'greatest'). The victim and villain are the exact as in Karoshi-hen (Satoko and Mion). This arc is told from Satoko's point of view of Karoshi. This could be considered the answer arc to Karoshi-hen.
The fifth and final arc is Nokayoshi-hen (translating to 'precise readiness'). It ends off on a good note. Being the longest arc, there are different victims throughout the arc. However, Hanyuu plays the most important role in this chapter.
