Yaten Kou dislikes fangirls a lot. In fact, he would go as far to say that he hates them. Fangirls are not only (usually) noisy and annoying, some of them are crazy to the extent of hiding in the men's restroom just to get a glimpse of their idols; so there's really no reason he shouldn't hate them.

That's why he couldn't understand.

What did this fangirl have that made her different from the others?

Minako Aino... She's just like any other annoying fangirl (or maybe a little crazier).

So why, did she always manage to make him feel warm and fuzzy inside?

He had only briefly mentioned this matter once to Seiya and Taiki, and unsurprisingly, their responses made him decide to never ask for their advice again (not that he will ever need it, he wasn't even asking them for it in the first place).

Flashback

"Eh... So you're saying that Minako makes you feel all nice and warm huh.."

A hand placed itself on his head.

"I'm sooo proud of you, my dear little Yaten-kun! To think that you're so big now, having troubles with love even! You don't have to worry, big brother Seiya will hel.."

"I believe it is better if you stop, Seiya. I'm afraid that only Yaten can deal with this problem himself. No one can help with matters of the heart anyway."

"You two..."

Yaten grasped his fists at the thought of his two so-called friends. Who do they think they are, some kind of expert?

Love huh...

When he was still a child, he had thought of that. His mother told him that one day, he would find someone he cherished and wanted to protect with all he's got; but he simply waved it away, saying that it was impossible. As if someone like that could exist.

His thoughts drifted back to Minako.

"I'm number 278 of your fanclub, Minako Aino!"

"Oh Yaten-san! Please take this seat!"

"Yaten-kun, I know you have a day off tomorrow, will you go on a date with me?"

"There's this really cool event at the mall this Sunday that requires a partner, will you go with me?"

"Minako is scared! Protect me, Yaten-kun!"

"I'm taking part in an audition, come and support me won't you, Yaten-kun?"

He unconsiously smiled at the memory. "What a silly girl. She knows that I will definitely refuse any request from her, yet she still... I guess it's my fault for agreeing once to sit next to her."

Maybe one day, he will accept her request. To go watch her audition, to be her partner in a nice event.. As for the date... he'll consider it, but no way he'll call it a date. Hanging out, yes, he'll just be hanging out with her, not on a date. He could see Seiya laughing at him and doing all kinds of annoying and embarasing stuff just to tease him if news of the date reaches his ears.

A high-pitched voice yelled, interrupting him from his train of thoughts. The famillar blonde came his way, waving a pair of tickets (which he was sure must be tickets to some romance movie).

"Yaten-kun, this Sunday-"

"No."

"... I see." Her smile dropped. For some reason, that made him feel unpleasant, like someone had dumped water on his best works (photos) and ruined them. He hated that.

"Hey. If you're expecting me to go with you, at least let me choose the movie. I don't watch sappy romance stuff."

"Does that mean.." Her lips curved, even showing her teeth.

She jumped on him, knocking them both to the ground. "Thank you, Yaten-kun!"

A pretty smile.

I guess, she isn't that bad after all.
