Under the Stars
A HyperDimension Neptunia short story
Neptune had been sitting by herself out on the balcony area looking up at the stars.
"So beautiful..."
Neptune watched as the stars themselves seemed to twinkle and sparkle. They looked almost effortlessly able yet almost vulnerable to anything that would happen to them.
Much like the people who looked up to her. The people of Planeptune looked up to Neptune like she was looking at the stars.
Neptune propped herself up by leaning back with her arms. Her gaze was still on the stars.
"I wonder...I wonder if Nep Jr's asleep yet..."
Neptune smiled to herself warmly as she nodded to herself.
"I'm sure she is"
Neptune couldn't help it - But it felt like someone might very well have been watching her. However, it was probably the spirits of the former CPU's before her...
If they existed that is.
'Sure, they did'
Again with breaking the fourth wall Neptune...Never clever. Ahem. Anyway...
Neptune let out a tired sigh as she closed her eyes - The wind gently blowing on her face.
Everything had been normal she guessed. Nothing was out of the ordinary and next to nothing was threatening their very existence so...It was nice...For this kind of thing anyway.
Relaxing under the Stars.
Nepgear clutched her soft Neptune plushie that Plutia had made a few months back as she tried to sleep. But it still came back around to Neptune as to why she was awake.
'Sis...I can't sleep...' She closed her eyes and tried desperately to rid herself of thoughts so she could drift off...But it wasn't working.
Nepgear eventually sat up and rubbed her eyes as she opened them.
"Ugh...I wish I hadn't had that meal that Neptune was INSISTANT upon having before bed..." Nepgear smiled to herself however, "It was nice though...Eating with Onee-chan..."
Nepgear giggled as she got up out of the bed she was in and wondered very slowly (albiet quietly) to the glass window where she could see out across all of Planeptune.
"So...Beautiful..." She saw all the lights and L.E.D.S. from the buildings. Even the Guild building was alight with various assortment of lights.
It was a certain sight that caught her breath as her eyes eventually landed on her older sister, just laying there/sitting there.
She looked like a Goddess alright...A very pretty one at that.
'Did I just...' Nepgear shook her head and smiled warmly. 'I'd better get back to bed'
