Okay, there's like five Class of 3000 fics, I needed to do something about it. So I shoved aside everything else to write this, and I think it's the first EddiexTamika fic ever. --Weak cheers-- Sorry, it took me like two weeks to write this and get it right. Schade means pity in Dutch and amour is of course love. Hey everybody, come over here and tell how OCC this whole thing is. I don't own anything except my black sweatshirt. This is also set in the future…..-Twilight zone theme-

Schade, Amour in Disguise

Tamika walked through the abandoned halls of Westley School for the Performing Arts. The school had made algebra mandatory for seniors in the past year. She'd forgotten her book for the subject and had a test tomorrow, so she'd come back to get it. The school was dead silent and pale moonlight trickled in through the windows. It was eerie to see a building, that was so filled with live and energy during the day, empty and dead. But it wasn't really dead. Tamika made her way to the entrance hall to leave when she stopped for a second. There was music, very, very soft music. Tamika put her bag down by the door and went in its direction.

Eddie sat on the windowsill of the upperclassmen music room. His fingers moved slowly on his clarinet. A low, slow song filled the silent space. He stopped after a minute, rested his head on his knees, and sobbed.

Tamika stopped when the music did. It had led her to the music wing of the building, usually the loudest wing; it was now silent as a grave, well almost. There was a small feeble sound transcending from behind one of the doors.

"Eddie?" the blonde boy jumped when he heard the voice and quickly and franticly tried to dry his eyes before looking to the speaker. It was Tamika. "What are you doin' here?"

"Nuthin'" he said in a wavering voice pressing down random tone holes and keys on his clarinet.

"Don't look like nuthin'." She said sitting on the sill next to him. He stared abysmally at the instrument in his hands. Tamika tried desperately to read his tear stained face. "What's wrong?" she asked putting a hand on his shoulder; he flinched a bit to the touch but didn't pull away.

"M-my daddy," He took a deep breath, "He's pullin' me out of Westley...says I gotta go into business like he did…says I gotta give up the girly music stuff…" By the end his voice was barely above a whisper.

"What? I can't believe that. He can't do that!"

"He can, and he has. As of this past afternoon, I'm not a Westley student anymore; I'm a student of Bentley's School for Business and Economics." He ran a hand through his hair and sniffed.

"If you aren't a student anymore, then why are you here?"

"Sayin' goodbye." He turned to her with a look that could have moved even the most stone cold individual to tears.

"Well…isn't there anything you can do?" She moved a bit closer; Eddie shuffled away.

"'Fraid not," He rose and headed for the door.

"Eddie, wait." She took his hand and he stopped obediently.

"Y'know," he stared into her eyes, "Of everything and everyone here that I'll miss, I think I'm gonna miss you the most." His sight clouded with tears and they ran down his cheeks, but he didn't bother to wipe them away.

"I'll," Tamika averted her eyes from his gaze, "I'll miss you too." She looked back up at him.

"That means a lot, Tamika." In a delicate and almost hesitant motion, he softly kissed her. He moved away and headed for the door again. Tamika's cheeks were wet, though whether from Eddie's tears or her own was impossible to tell. When he reached the threshold, Eddie turned back to her with a sad smile, "Thanks."
