"So Rio, why did you run away from the doctors?" Kaito's mother asked as they were driving through the rain.
"I-I didn't want to believe that Okaa-san and Tou-san were gone…" Rio said.
"Well, is your brother okay?" She asked.
Rio nodded, "It's just that they want to see if he was going to be alright, since the scar on his back looked a little irritated."
"Where are you going to stay?" Kaito's mother asked.
"I don't know…" Rio said softly.
"Oh, well we're here." She said as she opened her door. She opened her umbrella and opened the door for Rio to come on out.
"Thank you." She said as she walked out the door.
"Come, I'll help you cross the street and then I'll help look for your brother, alright?" She said with a smile.
Rio nodded and grabbed her hand as they crossed the street; they went inside the building and headed to the front office.
"Oh Rio Kamishiro! Where in the world-" A nurse said as she walked by and noticed someone standing next to her. "Oh! Mrs. Tenjo, good evening! I didn't know you were here! Is the baby doing fine?"
"No difficulties so far nurse, but I will be getting a scan after I dropped of this little girl." She said with a smile.
The nurse nodded and took Rio away. Mrs. Tenjo smiled and walked away. She headed towards her doctor's office and asked to meet her. The lady at the front desk nodded.
"Ahh, Mrs. Tenjo! Feeling alright?" The doctor asked her as they made it to her office.
She nodded, "I just wanted a scan."
"Oh, that's easily done." The doctor said.
After the scan and Mrs. Tenjo arrives at the tower…
"Okka-san!" Kaito exclaims as his mother approached him.
"Hello Kaito." She said with a soft smile.
"Okaa-san, where's your purse?" Kaito asked observing that his mother was not carrying the purse she had with her before she left.
"Huh? Oh, I must have left it at the hospital. I'm going to go get it." She said as she walked away.
"Okaa-san, can I go to?" asked Kaito.
"For whatever for, Kaito?" His mother asked.
"I don't want to be home alone again, may I come this time?" Kaito asked.
"Of course Kaito, let's go." She said as she helped him with his jacket and they went out the door.
At the hospital…
"Kaito, you wait right here while I go and get my purse." She said as she left him sitting on the benches in the lobby.
Kaito nodded and a couple of minutes later, he was getting bored. He then saw someone walking towards him. "Rio?"
Rio perked up when she heard her name being called. "Oh hello."
Kaito got up and walked towards her, "What are you doing here?"
"Oh, I was bored and I went to look around. What are you doing here?" She asked.
"Oh, I am waiting for my Okaa-san to return with her purse." Kaito said.
"Oh…" Rio said.
"How's your brother?" Kaito asked.
"He's sleeping, the medicine they gave him made him sleepy and he well, fell asleep." Rio said.
The two looked away for a while.
"Kaito… I want to say thank you for helping me." Rio said.
Kaito nodded. "Sure."
Rio smiled at him, "Bye, I'm going to go check on my ani." And with that, she left.
"Goodbye Rio-san!" he called out.
Rio waved at him and ran off.
"Kaito, was that Rio?" Mrs. Tenjo asked Kaito as she returned with her purse.
"Yes." Kaito said.
"Oh, okay. C'mon Kaito, let's go back before Tou-san starts looking for us." She said with a smile.
Kaito nodded.
"Oh, and I want to show you some pictures at home." Mrs. Tenjo said as they walked out the door.
