Under the cherry blossom tree line on his way to school was there first encounter. The wind was lightly blowing the pink petals and the path to school was clear except for the two of them. Inuyasha had to cover his eyes as a gust of wind blew the branches apart letting the rising sun shine through.
Peeking out from under his cupped hand he saw her staring back at him. Glittering eyes and her dark hair blowing with the breeze.
He couldn't look away. Her cheek flushed a soft pink and she gave him a smile that made his stomach flutter. A small petal caught in her hair and it was enough of a distraction that it snapped him out of the stupid hold she had over his heart that made it stop and beat faster with just a look.
She opened her mouth to say something but he was quicker, "What the fuck are you lookin' at? You have a death wish?!"
Her look of surprise caught him off guard so he rushed past her and to the school before he had to deal with whatever that look meant.
