Author's Note: Hey, I'm really new to writing fic, in fact this is the first I have written on my own, but don't let that put you off! Read, and hopefully enjoy. This is a short drabble that I decided would be a nice starting point.
This fanfiction is based on the time Harry, Ron and Hermione spent at Shell Cottage, and is inspired by the song 'I See Fire' By Ed Sheeran. It is a beautiful song and I'd suggest you listen to it sometime, perhaps whilst you read! So, enjoy, or do not... either way please review to help me improve!

Disclaimer: I do not own the ingenious characters or places in this fictional tale, all the respect and love goes to our queen, JK Rowling.
They knew it would end soon, and that it would end in fire. The inevitable battle rose over the stretched horizon and the thick anticipation of death sunk heavy in their hearts.
The sweet, yet temporary, salvation of Shell Cottage had allowed Harry, Ron and Hermione the respite they subconsciously craved, and so everything stopped, albeit briefly, just for a few days.
The trio tried to refrain from the impending conversation of the goings on at Malfoy Manor, but they knew it was necessary to their plans and the path they needed to take. Hermione seemingly recovered miraculously well, but there was nothing she could do to dull the screams that ripped through the silence at night. Harry and Ron knew that the strong mask she wore during the day was merely a reflection of the intense fear that burnt her from within. They knew this simply because they felt it too. They all belonged in Gryffindor, where dwell the brave at heart, yet some things are beyond bravery.
The scheme to break into the vault of Bellatrix Lestrange progressed steadily over the oncoming days, it began to take shape and, eventually, developed into a risky yet impressive plot. Time had run out, and their time out on leave from the war had drawn to a close. They all knew the time had come to seek beneath the floors of Gringotts, to risk it and fight back. However, the day before they were set to leave, a small burst of hope splintered through the fear in the form of young Teddy Lupin. Remus arrived at Shell Cottage to announce this peace-offering into their lives. In that moment, Harry realised how much was at stake, and who was depending on him. The entire Wizarding World, from newly born Teddy Lupin to Ginny and her friends, to young couples such as Bill and Fleur and to those who had seen it all like Mr and Mrs Weasley. What scared Harry the most was the prospect of the future too. If Voldemort were to succeed then everyone he loved would be killed. Children, like Teddy, were to be born into a World of darkness. It was in this moment that Harry found his bravery. Not only for himself, but for everyone.
They set off early the next morning, ready to set the plan in motion. It was time for them to embrace this dark prospect and retaliate. There was a chance they'd reveal their cards tonight, then Voldemort would know they were killing off his last life line. Everyone would know that they were still fighting, not fearfully cowering in hiding, or even dead. Together, they would end this or go out trying. They knew that if they were to die, they would die together. That's all they could do.
So, I hope you liked it! I mean, I'm still not 100% sure about it, but I can't pin point my errors exactly. Can you help me by reviewing? Thanks!
