Word of the Week: Adolescent

Word Count: 300 (sorry, it's a triple drabble…not matter what I tried, this is what came out!)

Bobby shook his head in disbelief. In all his years of dealing with John Winchester and his sons, he had never thought to prepare himself for this. Broken bones, stitches, crying even….but this was beyond the call of duty.

He glanced at the class consent form that Sammy had silently thrust into his hand the second he walked in from school. He glanced up from the form and locked eyes with Sam. He was bright red. He looked about as red as Bobby felt.

Bobby let out a deep sigh, "This can't wait until your dad gets back next week?"

Sam shrugged and mumbled, "I have to have the consent form by tomorrow….stupid class…"

Bobby hesitated. If the school wanted to teach sexual education, more power to them, but as for Bobby signing Sam's form...That was John's job, his decision.

He ripped the attached pamphlet loose from the form and flipped it over; "Adolescents and Sex" stared up at him in a frighteningly cheerful font. He immediately shoved all the paperwork back into Sam's hands.

"Either forge his signature and go to class tomorrow or I'll let you play hookie from school," Bobby stated. "Either way, we're not discussing it again. Call your dad if you want. Better yet, just talk to your brother."

Sam nodded; relief on his face as he stuffed the form into his backpack and raced for the stairs.

Bobby listened to Sam climb the stairs to his room, Dean already up there working on his own homework. Bobby chuckled when he heard Dean's laughter floating down the stairs followed by Sam's angst filled teenage whining.

He knew he had sent Sam to the right place. With any luck, the poor kid would be so embarrassed he'd think twice before bringing Bobby any more consent forms.

Okay, I'll admit, I really like this one! Hope you enjoyed it as well! Please leave a review if you did!
