Kingdom Hearts, Beyond Life

The story takes place 3 years after the events of KH2 and that instead of returning to destiny islands, Sora and Riku dies and is sent to soul society. There they have entered the academy and have become shinigamis, Sora and Riku are assigned to the 10th squad, under Toshiro's command. The story takes place after the soul society arc and Aizen's betrayal. A week after Ichigo and company left for the real world, Riku and Sora returned from their mission.

(Sora's pov)

After the clearing up, Yamamoto insisted that a tournament was to be held, in a month's time, to select the new captains and vice- captains. Both Riku and I had signed up but since Renji had gotten the bankai, we decided that we shall complete train to achieve the bankai…
