For me, being different was a life style. I only told one person my secret, which ended in them never speaking to me again. But this time, it was different, I had to tell them. The reason was because they were the only person who I had ever fallen for.
His name was Kol, I had fallen for him instantly. But that's not because of his looks. When I first saw him, he had accidentally run into me. When I looked up he was holding out his hand to help me up. I was surprised that anyone took interest in my, since I was never token seriously after I had spilled that I was Gay.
Kids teased me all the time, saying that I had rabies and all the other bad things they had said. Kol always was there for me, the only one that was. I had decided to speak to Kol since I had finally been brave enough.
Kol had been speaking with Damon and Taylor, once I walked up, the immediately walked away.
"Um Kol, Can we talk?" I ask. He turns his head and he's wearing his coat way over his mouth. He smiles and I do too.
"Kol, I wanted to tell you a secret, well actually I want to tell you that ever since you came here you made me feel like I could be free, and I feel that to be free, I need you to be with me, because I really like you. And also, my secret, no telling anyone. My secret is… I'm a demon." I say.
"Wow, See the reason I helped you was because I thought you were kind of cute. But now, you actually like me, so yes, if you're asking me out, sure. And about your secret, I have one too. I'm unlike all of you, I can prove it." He grabs my arm and throws me onto his back, we move at about the speed of light and make it into the bathroom in a second.
"I'm a Vampire." He says, he takes the cloth off of his mouth and reveals two sets of fangs. I gasp at the sight, since I've never seen anyone outside of the demon world that is semi- like me.
"Those look…Painful." I say
"We are running out of fuel at the Vampires, castle. We need someone to collect as many People as they can to save our lives." Kol says.
"Wow, that seems hard." I say
"Your name, what is it?" Kol asks.
"Liou and I think I can help you." I say.
"Really, Thanks Liou!" he says, he runs over to me and gives me a hug. when he pulls away my eyes flash red.
"What was that?" Kol asks.
"Uh… I have to go, see you in class." I say. I rush throughout the school and grab Annie's arm.
"What the heck!" Annie screams as I drag her out the front doors.
"Annie, I need help, it's happening again." I say
Annie releases herself from my grip and continues running after me. I cover my mouth as blood spews out and I stop behind the fence.
Annie grabs her wand from her back pack. Light flows from it and she makes someone from our school appear.
"Suck out his soul." Annie says.
"I…I can't." I say
"Yes you can, and if you don't you die." Annie says. Kol rushes from behind Annie,
"Liou, are you okay, what's happening?" he asks.
"Please go! I don't want you to see me like this." I say. I reach my hand into the guy's chest and rip out his heart. Before I know it, I eat it and his body drops down to the ground. The blood rushes from my mouth and I grab onto my mouth to keep it in.
"Liou, what was that?" he asks.
"My Inner Demon, I have to eat to survive, but I usually don't since it pains me to see someone die, Annie makes me because I start to ache after a while, like just now." I say. Kol keeps staring at the body laying at my feet.
"Go ahead." I say as he reaches down and sinks his fangs into his flesh.
After we are done I head back to class after we wash up.
"So how do you walk in the sunlight?" I ask.
Kol laughs "I have this ring, it is spelled from a witch like Annie, allowing me to live a regular life." He says.
