Promise
The dark plague of emptiness engulfs my soul
Turing my once rouge heart into a cold black
My hollow eyes hold nothing
No feeling, no emotion
Like a blank shell
One flash before my eyes does it
Everything floods in quickly
Tears well behind my bright orbs
My steady grip becomes shaky and sweaty
My loose legs cause a drop to the floor
The pain fills and constricts my lungs
Causing closure in my throat
My breath is short, sharp, and cold
Wide eyes blinded by tears
Close as breath comes
Causing my heart to throb
Slowly I crawl into the corner
Grasping my knees and pulling them close to my body
A tiny crack lets cool air seep into my room
It wraps its arms around my body as a shiver runs up my spine
An eerie smile creeps across my face
The pain has diminished, the flash is gone
I stare into the distance wondering
Will you ever come back?
You promised you will-
A/N: Well, this is another poem about Ellie. It's about how she felt when Sean left. Like the first time he left, it's how I think she felt. It's the first time I've come out with something in a while and I apologize, but if you could review I would love you muy mucho. -
